Great Base!
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Pros: sheen, sparkle, smooth application, lightweight
Cons: sticky
I love using this product! It works well as a base to my other eyecolors, even gives the matte ones a little sparkle :) My eyecolors didn't really smudge around a lot before, but I definitely notice that they remain more vibrant throughout the workday. If you have a smudging eyeliner issue, this helps the eyeliner stay in place more as well. I really like how I can use it alone too. On my tan skin, it has a translucent gold finish with a slight sheen and some sparkle.
The tube is small, but you only need a teeny tiny bit for application. Think less than a drop. I will normally squeeze the tube very gently until I barely see the product come out of the tube, then I use my finger to pick it up and place a few dots on my upper eyelids and use my finger to smooth it out. I let it dry for maybe 30 seconds to a minute before applying my liner and shadow. It is very lightweight and smooth, so I don't even notice when I'm wearing it. And it doesn't make your eyelid stick to your brow bone when you blink, like those glitter gels girls would apply in middle/high school.
I gave it 5 hearts because I love this product so much more than I thought I would, but I do not really notice any "brightening" effects unless that advertisement is more so for the vibrancy it provides to the eyecolors. Maybe it is more "brightening" on lighter skin tones? Either way, I'm definitely happy with it and will reorder.

Great Nude Combination
Rating

Pros: nice colors, silky smooth, glides on
Cons: short-lived
I have tan skin and pink lips, so this is a great nude combination for me. They enhance my lips natural pink tone, so I don't look overdone at the office. I like how smooth and silky they make my lips feel, and the cooling sensation from the gloss is very nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because after a few bites of food at lunchtime or a few sips of coffee in the morning, and you'll have to reapply. It doesn't bother me though, so I will happily order these colors again when I run out.

Pros: separates lashes
Cons: sharp
I had no idea what to do with my eyelashes when they would get stuck together until I found this! I thought I was going to have to clean off an old mascara wand, but this works very nicely. It separates my eyelashes so it is easier to apply mascara. And if the mascara happens to clump, this definitely helps and is much safer than a safety pin! It is a little sharp though, so be very careful that you don't slip with your hand. It also is very useful in combing out some of my eyeshadow and concealer brushes when I clean them.

Pros: glittery, smooth, easy application
I am SO sad to see this in the Last Chance section! This is 100% my go-to eye color when I want a sun-kissed glow. It is the perfect blend of shiny and sparkly, without being too much for daytime wear or too little for nighttime wear. It is extremely versatile, I can mix it with tons of other colors such as Velvet Pecan and Velvet Strawberry. It goes on smooth and stays put, but is still easy to blend if you use the right brush. I like to use the Prime Time Brightening Eyelid Primer underneath it to give it some extra oomph!

BEST Cleanser Ever!!!
Rating

Pros: great cleanser, removes makeup, soft and silky
For years I have had a three-step process for removing my make-up and washing my face. I would remove my eye makeup with a skin sensitive lotion and tons of Q-tips (for the mascara), then I would use a make-up removing cleansing cloth, and THEN I would wash my face to remove "the leftovers".
This Facial Cleansing Oil has streamlined this process for me because I can do it all at once! No more taking 30+ minutes getting ready for bed anymore! It removes my stubborn eye makeup, no matter how much mascara or eyeliner I have on. It removes my long-wearing BE face makeup, which doesn't even come off after an 8 hour work day and an hour of sweating at the gym. And surprisingly enough, it lifts away the dirt and oil from my face leaving my skin feeling soft and refreshed. I love the slight scent of rose, it is so pleasant and calming. My face not only feels better, it *looks* better too. My skin tone is more even, there's no dry or flakiness (not that I had a lot to begin with, but there was some), the fine lines I began to see on my face are less noticeable, and my skin has a natural glow to it.
I have been using the cleanser 4-6 pumps at night (follow the directions on the bottle, it makes a difference) depending on how much makeup I am wearing, and 2 pumps in the morning just to refresh my skin. I've used less than 1/3 of the bottle in the past 4 weeks, so I am expecting this to last 3+ months (definitely worth the price).
The combination of switching to BE skincare and BE makeup has made a HUGE difference for me overall. I will be using BE for life :)

LOVE IT!

Pros: silky, good moisturizer, nice scent
I love this product, and am hooked for life. I have not tried the Renew & Hydrate Eye Cream so I cannot compare, but this one is great. It feels so silky and smooth (not greasy), and is SO lightweight you don't even notice it. It doesn't clog my pores, and it is great for sensitive skin. I have used it every night before bed for the past month and the skin is less puffy around my eyes, my "bags" are practically nonexistent, the fine lines around my eyes diminished and became less noticeable (although not gone completely) and the dark circles faded slightly. I hope that I will continue to see even more positive results with continued use of the product.
One thing everyone should know. The product is solid. You just have to gently rub your fingertip over the top of it for a few seconds to release the oil (warms instantly). Don't try to stir it or anything, that's not how it is designed to work. You don't need a lot either, it spreads very well so one jar will probably last 6 months (maybe even longer).

Perfect Mascara!

Pros: amazing, favorite, soft & thick lashes, everyday use
I have tried three different BE mascaras so far, and this is definitely my favorite! It is absolutely perfect for every day use. It coats my lashes evenly, doesn't clump or flake, doesn't smudge easy. It leaves them feeling soft (not brittle like other non-BE brands), and I have no problems washing it off with the Mineralixirs Facial Cleansing Oil. It adds natural-looking volume to my lashes without making them look fake, or overtly dramatic. I always get compliments on my eye make-up when I wear it to the office.
Thanks BE for another amazing product that I can't live without :)

Like this product, but it's not magic

Pros: brightens eyes, adds sheen, no more bags
Thanks to graduate school, a stressful career field, and my mixed genetics, I have chronic "raccoon eyes" and "crow's feet" underneath my eyes and my lower lids. I like this product because it decreases eye puffiness, keeps them moisturized and doesn't irritate my skin. The little light-refracting "pearls" leave a nice, very sheer, sheen over the tops of my eyelids.
I'm giving it 3 stars because I haven't noticed ANY effect on the fine lines underneath my eyes, and only a mild effect on the dark circles (even though I have been using it daily for about 2 months now). I thought it was going to be like magic in a tube based on the other reviews that I'd read, so I am a little disappointed. However, I must say that it does look very nice underneath the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener with some Original Foundation and Original Mineral Veil, or just Tinted Mineral Veil on my "no make-up" days. Using it in combination with the other products makes a difference, so I will probably purchase it again. I am hoping if I use it for a longer time period that I will notice more of a difference.

Love the color!

Pros: easy to apply, very sparkly, bit messy
I ordered Moonshine and Vapor, and they're great! Wish there was a golden type of color available. Vapor gives you a perfect smokey eye with some black liner and mascara. Moonshine is more like a soft pink with a lot of sheen to it. It's more shiny than glittery, as though the glitter was mixed in homogeneous rather than randomly sprinkled like most eye shadows.
Application process is easy, I like the built-in wand that comes with it. You do need to scrape off excess before application, or it will get everywhere. Probably best to wait to do any concealer or under-eye stuff until after you've applied this shadow. Very easy to remove with almost any eye makeup remover.
I'm giving it three stars because it's messy. I don't like that when I come home from work the shadow has migrated to my lower lid. I'm picky that way, I like my eyeshadow on my actual eyelid and I like it to stay there. But no matter what I seem to do, I have yet to find a remedy to this. I wish the Velvet Eyecolor line made some sparkly shadows rather than matte (don't let the pictures fool you), because I don't seem to have that problem with them.

Great Brush!
Rating
4 out of 5

Pros: adjustable coverage, easy to use
I love this brush for foundation because it provides as much, or as little coverage as I want. It evenly distributes your make-up during the application process, unlike some other brush brands I've used (not BE products of course lol). I use the original foundation, and it works perfect with it. I've also used this brush with the tinted Mineral Veil and it works great with that product as well. Swirl, tap, and buff technique is a must-use for this brush to work its magic for you :)
The only reason I gave this brush a 4 instead of a 5 is because I wish the bristles were a little softer and a little less stiff. But I think the brush has to be made that way for it to be able to provide the type of adjustable coverage it does (which is my favorite part). That being said, I probably wouldn't use any other brush for my foundation anyways.

What is the added ingredient in the hydrating mineral Veil that makes it "hydrating"?
I have sensitive skin. Is there a particular place that I can see the breakdown of all ingredients in bare minerals products?
All of the ingredients for BE items are listed on the individual product pages. Here is the ingredient list for the hydrating mineral veil in particular: Silica, Aqua (Water/Eau), Silica Silylate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Lipids, Populus Tremuloides Bark Extract, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Sodium Dehydoracetate, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Sorbic Acid. May Contain: Mica, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492).

is this an oil free masacara
I have eyelash extensions and need oil free products
There doesn't seems to be any oil-based ingredients in the mascara (the first ingredient is water), but there is wax. I'm not sure if that is harmful on extensions or not, so here is a list of the ingredients per the BE website: Water, Beeswax (Cera Alba/Cire D'abeille), Bis-Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate-2, Palmitic Acid, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax (Candelilla Cera/Cire De Candelilla), Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Styrene/Acrylates/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Hydrolyzed Quinoa, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Myristic Acid, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Silica, Malachite Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Iron Oxides (Ci 77499).

About which shade should i get
I have a very light skin tone and dark circles under my eyes so i don't know which shade i should get please help
Go through Bare Minerals Foundation Finder (http://www.bareescentuals.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site/en_US/Home-Show#ShadeFinder-Show). When you get to the shade-matching section, take notice of which phrase the shade you use falls under...either light, medium, tan, dark, or deep. Luminous 1 goes with "light", Luminous 2 goes with "medium", Luminous 3 goes with "tan", luminous 4 goes with "dark" and "deep". I wear medium tan and use Luminous 3.

Hope this helps!
