Yet another on-the-go set to add to my collection
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Pros: convenient, soft, great quality
May I just say, I think I have a bit of an unhealthy addiction to any on-the-go sets like this.
First of all, I LOVE the black & white - different than all the other brushes I have and there's something fun about a completely matching set like this. I keep this set at work for those days that I seem to need to redo everything. I keep it in one of my desk drawers and since it's so clean-cut I don't care if people see it sitting there or see me walking with it to the restroom. Not unprofessional at all like some cute makeup bags (although I must admit I love those too...)
The brushes are soft and up to par with my other BE brushes. These are SOFT, not the goat hair ones. So much nicer :)
The black container has two zipped pockets. One will fit all the brushes. One will fit makeup (each pocket is the same size).
My only complaint with this is that the pockets are not large enough to hold the READY compacts, except the 2.0 eyeshadows, so you have to be okay with the loose powder counterparts.

Love it except for cleaning
Rating

Pros: flawless, cleaning pains
This brush is fantastic for all but cleaning. The little reservoir area really helps distribute the foundation quite nicely and I LOVE the coverage and overall result BUT cleaning is a pain. I've never been able to get the water to run fully clear but figured I had used enough soap in it that germs & bacteria should be gone by then... Let's face it, my life cannot halt so that I have enough time to clean a brush.
I have used this brush probably 4-5 times per week since May and haven't had any issues with it losing bristles or anything. Because of the cleaning issue, if this brush does wear out, I will try using something like the precision face brush and seeing how that works with the foundation before purchasing this again.

Perfect little to-go brush
Rating

Pros: compact, convenient, soft, good coverage
I have a little bag that I keep in my purse for touch ups throughout the day, and this is a fantastic little addition. I'll admit I use it for everything - foundation, warmer, blush, and mineral veil. This & a small concealer brush is all I need. So convenient! And it's super soft, which is a plus...and being retractable I don't have to worry about this one getting smushed in my purse like I worry about my concealer brush.
And just for the record, no, I don't love it more than my full size brushes but for being a brush on the go, this is perfect.

Love my liquid!

Pros: wonderful
BE never fails to make me fall in love over and over. The foundation and brush are amazing, and I love that I can feel good wearing a liquid foundation! I was willing to give liquid up in order to be a Bare Minerals girl...but now I can have my cake and eat it too. It blends so nicely and does a great job evening out skin tones and covering blemishes so that my work with coverup is pretty minimal. It looks great just after application but after about 30-60 minutes of wearing it soaks into your skin a bit more and looks even more natural. Being a natural beauty is EASY with BE!

Gentle Cleanser
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Pros: gentle
My favorite cleanser is the Deep Cleansing Foam, but I cannot use that morning & night because my skin dries out easily. So my current skin care routine is to use the foam cleanser at night, and the Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser in the morning. I love it. It is so gentle on the skin, and I have clearer skin with my current routine (been at this routine for about three months) than I ever have before.
Speaking to ease of using this as a powder...
The powder substance took me a few tries to get used to, but once you figure out the right ratio for you, it's very easy. I keep this cleanser in the shower, and when my hands are wet, I sprinkle the cleanser in my hand (It takes two small shakes for me to get my desired amount). Then I rub my palms together and then rub it into my face. The only water I need is what was already on my hands, so it is very easy. Don't knock it until you try it a few times! Plus, you can take a full size bottle of this on airplanes because it is a powder.
It also lasts a long time. I use this once a day and have been using it for about three months and I think I'm close to halfway down the bottle.

I really like this mascara but I feel I can achieve the same results, if not better, with the normal Flawless Definition mascara. I can't always apply this without clumps and it comes out not looking any different than other days. I will finish this tube, but I'll stick with the regular Flawless or the 10-in-1 Domination.

I think this is the perfect every-day mascara. It really does separate and lengthen lashes without clumps (and without looking spidery!), the way every mascara claims to but very few actually perform. It is so easy to build drama with each coat - I use one coat if it's day at home or a day running errands, two coats if I am on my way to work, or three coats for a night out. I prefer using different mascara (like the 10-in-1 domination) for the drama look I like for a night out, but this will still do the trick if this is what I have on hand.

My first Skinny Dip... ;)

I LOVE the Skinny Dip color. I have fair skin (I wear the Fairly Light foundation) and wanted a READY bronzer to have for on-the-go. After my consultant at my local BE boutique put this one on me, I have replaced Warmth in my make up routine...I just love this color too much. When used with a light stroke, it provides the perfect shade for contouring and shaping my face.

I have officially converted from liner pencils
Rating

Pros: long lasting
I always knew you could use eye shadows as an eyeliner...but I didn't realize how much of a difference it would make. I loved the look of liquid liners but could never find one that I could really deal with - either it would smudge, smear, and come off with just a touch of moisture, or it would be so waterproof that it was hard to get off with makeup remover. This is absolutely perfect. It lasts all day, will survive through a few tears if you're careful, and then comes off the same as my mascara when I wash my face at night.
I will agree with another reviewer that this can be messy - I always open the little container over my sink, just in case some powder falls out, because this is a little more intense of a color than normal eyeshadows so I don't want this falling on my carpet, clothes, etc.

Luxurious Moisturizer
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Pros: luxurious, hydrating
I received this as part of a kit from one of the Beauty Rush deals, and I am so glad I did! I don't think I would have bought it if I purchased it separately, but this cream is fantastic. It is the best working moisturizer that I've found that I'm not worried about my pores clogging and breaking out because of it. The skin under my eyes usually becomes dry and flaky when the first harsh days of winter hit, but not this year! Also, like all the great moisturizers, a little goes a long way so it should last quite a while.

Questions

What is the point of lip liner?
I've never used lip liners before and honestly can't tell much difference when someone else uses them. Aside from layering colors (which you can do with just good old lipstick and glosses), is there much of a purpose to buying a liner?

Thanks!

What is the best way to clean this kind of brush? Is it even washable?
I have a several BE brushes that have the regular long handle, which I clean with the brush shampoo with no problem. This brush seems a little more tricky with the retractable handle though. Is there a special washing method? I need to clean it, but I am afraid I will ruin the brush.
I haven't had an issue cleaning this brush. I clean it as I do the other brushes, and then gently blot out excess water in a soft towel and I hang it upside down to dry (I usually use rubber bands to make a contraption to hold the brush upside down. Just make sure it's fully dry prior to retracting and putting the cap back on since this one won't dry any more when it's "put away".

I'm trying to choose between the exfoliating treatment cleanser and the deep cleansing foam.
My skin became clogged, developed larger pores, and pores that I had never noticed before after using Mac foundation for a few years. I'd love if I could find a product that got rid of my patches of orange peel and return it to the state it was before. Anyone know which product would work better for this?
I use both products - Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser in the morning and Deep Cleansing Foam at night. In my observations, I think the exfoliating cleanser really helps to dig impurities out of your skin - definitely helpful when you have enlarged pores - the the foam helps to tighten the pores again. Everyone's skin is different so unfortunately there is a lot of trial and error involved in finding your perfect skin care routine, but in my experience, a combination of these two products does wonders.

Will my face break out worse before it clears up?
I am an ex-Proactiv user, (Proactiv was way too harsh for my skin and eventually stopped working) I switched 3 weeks ago to the deep cleansing foam as well as the Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser. I sprinkle the Exfoliating powder on the Foam and wash my face morning and night. My skin is not irritated and it feels wonderful, but I'm breaking out terribly (small pimples as opposed to the cystic acne I had with Proactiv). Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there hope for my skin or should I try a different cleanser?
The best skin care routine I've ever had is what I have been doing for the last three months - I use the Deep Cleansing Foam at night, the Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser in the morning, the Lightweight Moisturizer once or twice a day, and Blemish Therapy when breakouts happen. I've never tried mixing the cleansers the way you have, so I can't completely compare experiences, but I believe the typical cycle it takes the average person to test the success of a skin care routine is between 45 and 60 days. I've had skin care routines be misleading - break out worse for a month before skin clears up, or clear up immediately only to start its usual break outs again just when I think my worries are over - so I would give it two months before you make your final call as to whether you want to stick with the routine or look for a new product. I know the process is frustrating. Make sure to invest in some good foundation and concealer so you have the freedom to try routines as you need to without having to show your acne to the world.

Will these go 'orange?'
I can't wear Warmth because it turns orange-y after an hour or so, so I have to use Faux Tan. Do these stay tan? Thanks.
I use the Skinny Dip shade and it has not turned orange on me yet!

Intense color for a variety of eye-defining effects.

How do I keep this eyeliner from transferring to my upper lid/outer corners?
I love that these eyeliners last forever. And I can make a really thin tight line and then wing it out in a really precise cat eye. However, I find that after a while, the color from the eyeliner is transferring to my upper lid and outer corner of my eye. I have been applying this with a wet brush and still, it transfers. Any ideas? Primer? Can I use Prime Time on my eyes, too? Would that help? Do tell.
This is something that you'll have to experiment with because it seems that not all solutions work for all people. Using an eyelid primer fixes the problem for my roommate, but not for me. If you can stand your eyeliner not being quite as dramatic of a line, putting a little eyeshadow over it will help, or using a mineral or touch-up veil will also help minimize the issue. I haven't found an all-day fix for myself yet, but doing that should at least help with the problem. Good luck!

Sifer?
I know it doesn't have the twist & lock feature, but does the mega size have a sifter (is that the correct word) like the eye colors, etc?
Yes it does have the sifter, but you need to be a little careful using it still - it is a larger product so more foundation will come out with each tap than in the smaller containers. You get used to it, but the first few times can be a little messy if you're not expecting it.

Can you use this cream in your eye area?
I have dark circles which are partly due to dry skin in my eye area. I'm wondering if it's possible to use a small amount of this face cream in the eye area.
I wouldn't use this all the way up to lash line, but I definitely use this as an eye cream - the skin under my eyes can become very dry & flaky especially at the beginning of winter, and despite the freezing weather Oregon is having so far, my eyes have stayed hydrated quite nicely this year!

What size is this foundation compared to the regular sized (non deluxe) item?
The sizes of these two products are not posted.
This is 18 grams as compared to the regular, large size at 8 grams. This is a GREAT deal -
At the current full price of each, the large size if $3.38/gram, while the deluxe size is $2.17/gram. Definitely jump on this deluxe version while they have it!

Does the container come with a twist lid , or a regular lid?
This question is just about the type of dispensing.
Just a regular lid - it will be fine if you're leaving it on your bathroom counter or on your dresser, but if you throw it into a makeup bag or move it around much, you might want to stick to the smaller versions that have the twist-lock.
