Great for covering RED imperfections!

Before I bought this concealer, I debated whether I wanted to get this or the Well-Rested Eye Brightener. I finally decided on this one because I read a few reviews that said that it worked for their red blemishes AND the dark circles under their eyes. Well, this is NOT the case for me. Perhaps it is the olive undertones of my skin, but this concealer makes my dark circles WORSE and brings attention to them. I work nights, so the darkness of my circles can vary quite a bit, but I've never gotten this to successfully cover them while they're at any level of dark. I've tried applying it in varying levels of heaviness, but it goes from not enough to cover/brings attention to them to way too much/caked-on/still doesn't get rid of the dark color. I'll have to break down and buy the Well-Rested Eye Brightener to take care of those!
But this product is WONDERFUL for red blemishes! It covers the broken capillary on my face flawlessly, camouflages my little red pimples perfectly, and masks any mark that is based in the red family!
Remember: THIS PRODUCT IS NOT 100% EFFECTIVE FOR DARK CIRCLES UNDER EYES.

Fabulous product! Perhaps redesign the container.

This product is great! I have combination skin and it is difficult to find a moisturizer that fully hydrates the dry areas without causing more blemishes. I get blemishes towards my hairline and on the top of my nose and dry flaky patches at the base of my nose, (usually only in the winter, but my skin is dry otherwise.) I started using this product in the middle of the winter along with my normal facial lotion for extra moisture, because I live in Michigan in an area with low humidity. The dry, flaky patches that were around my nose disappeared in less than three weeks! AND it didn't cause me to develop blemishes. Now that summer temperatures are on their way in, I've added toner to my daily facial cleansing routine. Before I started using this product, I used toner every other day during the summers, so my routine hasn't been forced to change much.
The powder has yellow/neutral undertones as opposed to the original mineral veil's pink/warm undertones. This allows me to choose what type of finish I want to have on my skin, which has slightly olive undertones, (I use medium beige foundation.) The powder also has more shimmer to it than the original, but that is not noticeable when it is applied. It is a great way to add a little variety to your usual makeup routine!
The only real issue I have with this product is the container. The powder is so fine, (possibly finer than the original mineral veil, but I'm not sure), and the hole for dispensing it is so large, I feel like I waste a lot every time I use it! In four months, I used approximately 1.5 grams of the original mineral veil and in the same time, I used approximately 3 grams of the hydrating mineral veil. Some attention to the container design might be worth looking into in order to make the customer feel like they're getting a better value!
But overall, it is a wonderful product!!!

Joyous Jennifer - it's a no brainer!!

When I traveled to a larger city for my first purchase of bareMinerals, I was lucky enough to get help from the regional teaching consultant who was visiting from Minnesota. I used to wear only eye liner, mascara, and *sometimes* eyeshadow, so I felt like I had no idea of what I should get or what looked good on me. And since she was the professional, I let her pick out everything for me.
I have a medium skin color with slightly olive undertones, my foundation is medium beige. I go for a more natural look, I've never been a fan of obvious makeup application. When the consultant put Joyous Jennifer on my face, it was perfect!! The way it looks on my computer screen does not do the color justice. It looks very brown on my computer, but in person it more of a medium dark rosey pink, with a hint of brown and glitter! I just lightly fill the brush, and alternate between the apples of my cheeks for two to three light swipes. I work the night shift in a hospital, so I want a very subtle look, and this is perfect for daily wear! It brightens up my face and adds dimension without any effort on my part!

I have been using a blush called Courage for some time now. It is my go to color everyday. Is there a new blush color that is the same or close to it?
This blush has a hint of sparkle to it. I guess I would call it a rosy/pink shade.
You might want to try Joyous Jennifer. It is a medium dark rosy pink, with a hint of brown and sparkle! The picture appears a lot darker and more brown on my computer screen than it does in person. I have medium skin with slightly olive undertones and it looks amazing on my skin! It looks a lot lighter on my skin than it does in the container. But if you can, try it before you buy it!
