Greatest pore reduction treatment ever!

Pros: reduced pore size, awesome face mask too!
This is by far my favorite skin care item from Bare Minerals. It is a dry powder that you can use in so many ways to treat your skin. It has become a part of my daily skin care routine, and I have seen tremendous results from this product. I have sensitive skin, so it is hard for me to find something that can cleanse my skin well, but at the same time not irritate me. I also have large pores across my cheeks and nose. This Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser has refined the texture of my skin, making it look brighter and more youthful, as well as reducing the size of my pores to the point that their appearance no longer bothers me. Yea!!!
Here's an outline of my daily routine -
1. In the shower, I apply refined organic coconut oil to remove my makeup by slathering on my face, then remove by using a wet wipe. Works great to clean waterproof eye makeup, and doesn't sting my eyes or my skin. I use this because I have yet to find any other makeup remover that does not irritate my skin or eyes. I wear contacts, so of course I remove them before undergoing this process. As long as the oil is cleared away properly, there have been no problems using this and wearing contacts.
2. Apply Bare Minerals Purifying Facial Cleanser, massage in, and rinse face. I have a dry towel handy just outside the shower I use to remove most of the excess water from my skin and hands. I then pour a half-dollar size amount of the Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser into my mostly dry hand, and add a few drops of water and work into the cleanser until a very thick paste is formed - it only takes a couple of drops.
3. Apply paste to face like a mask, working in circular motions, and being careful not to get face wet.
4. I then go about my shower while leaving the mask on, so it's on my face for a good 10 minutes. The instructions on the Cleanser say it can be used as a face mask occasionally, but I use it this way daily, and I have had no irritation. In fact, I believe my skin has greatly benefited from using this Cleanser as a daily mask.
5. Before I rinse the Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser completely off my face, I add just a little water so the cleanser becomes "workable", and then give myself a facial massage, concentrating on the areas where my pores had been a problem, working in a gentle circular motion. I work this in for a good two minutes.
6. Rinse, dry, then go about the rest of my skin care routine after shower - I also use the Active Cell Renewal Serum, Multi-Wrinkle Repair, Moisturizer, and Pure Transformation Night Treatment.
Other ways I use the Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser -
1. After cleansing skin, I have combined the powder with coconut oil instead of water and used this as a moisturizing facial mask.
2. If I am in a hurry, I will skip the mask routine and combine the Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser with the liquid Purifying Facial Cleanser instead of water, and wash my face with this combination.
3. If I have a blemish, which is fortunately a rare occurrence now, I will combine a small amount of this cleanser with Bare Minerals' acne treatment powder and a teeny tiny drop of water to create a paste, then apply it to the blemish overnight. Wake up in the morning, wash face, and blemish will be greatly reduced or gone.
My skin has never looked better. It is luminous, soft, and I have far less breakouts now (only around that time of the month). I really think this routine has taken 5 years off my appearance. I'm almost 40, but you'd never know by looking at my skin!
Thanks Bare Minerals for making the ONLY product to ever work on reducing the appearance of my pores!

Lovely Lip Sheer - I am hooked!

Pros: best lip product ever - new favorite!, transparent subtle sheer color, natural moistness not too shiny or matte, works great alone or layered
I love this product, and hope it will be continued - pretty please! I've seen negative reviews here about the lack of color intensity or the fact that it just seems like a regular lip balm. I must disagree, since the product clearly states it is SHEER, and I have tried many "lip balms" and none have felt this good or conditioned my lips nearly a well. If you understand that this is a SHEER product, just as the name states, and not a lip color, you will not be disappointed. It is totally worth the price.
I sincerely hope they will keep producing this product. I would no longer want to be without this, I wear it every day (and night!) whether or not I am wearing any other makeup. It has made my lips feel younger and fuller.
I was skeptical when I first saw this product because I prefer to wear a natural lip, and it looked like this color would be too intense for me. I then saw a demo on QVC and the models looked lovely. I was convinced to try it and have not regretted that decision. I have very fair skin with pink undertones, and normally I could never wear orange shades, but the Tangerine Trance looks great, as well as the Amped Pink. They are a very subtle wash of sheer color with a natural moistness, not too shiny nor too matte. I like to wear both shades together, and also like to layer this under my lip color or gloss to tone down color or shine.
I also wear Lip Sheer to bed to wake up to lovely conditioned lips. It has helped my lips from getting dried out and cracking this winter. I have literally tried hundreds of lip products over the years, and this product is my new favorite. It has the best texture of any lip product, it feels so smooth, light, and silky.
Lip Sheer does have an orange citrus scent, but this dissipates about five minutes after applying, and it does not have any weird flavor. The fragrance is not objectionable to me at all, and I am very picky about fragrance.
If you understand what this product is and what it is not, try this, you will not be disappointed, and you may just be as hooked as I am!

Pros: too dark for fairest skin
Let me start by saying that I truly love almost all Bare Minerals products, been using them for several years, and have seen remarkable changes in the appearance and texture of my 39 year old face. I use the Matte foundation in "Fair", oddly enough combined with the Ready foundation in the lightest shade as well. Not sure if anyone else uses this combo, but the "Fair" shade in the loose foundation is actually a little dark for my skin, so a very little amount of the Ready foundation helps to lighten it up. My skin is very pale, and I happen to like it that way. Embrace who you really are, right? I also use the cleansers, moisturizers and skin treatments, primer, eyeshadow, etc., but I digress.
Anyway, I was looking for a concealer to compliment the foundation I wear on a daily basis. I have very fair skin, but tend to get dark circles under my eyes from genetic predisposition. I also have some redness around the creases of my nose that are not sufficiently covered by the foundation without caking it on. Then I run into the makeup looking heavy and actually accentuating my fine lines especially around my eyes instead of diffusing them. So my search was on to find a concealer that I would hope cover these areas without caking. I found this product and even though it didn't list a "Fair" option, I figured I would give the "Light" shade a shot. Unfortunately this didn't work out so well. While the texture and coverage of the product seemed good (which is why I gave it 3 hearts), and looked as if it would conceal, the shade for my skin tone was completely wrong. It made my eyes look as if the darkness underneath was worse instead of better, and the redness around my nose was replaced with dark patches. I tried to see if putting my fairest foundation over this concealer product would work, but it didn't. The "Light" concealer is way too dark for my face and I have not found a way to make it work for my fair skin tone. I think I would love this product if only it was made for me!
One more caveat -- I can't even enter "FAIR" in reviews that include skin shade! Again my closest choice is "light". If "fair" became a choice for not only this product, but also a criteria for writing a review and selecting your skin shade, I might be able to more accurately judge appropriate products for my skin shade. There is a HUGE difference between "light" and "fair", and I would like to know if colors and shades would work for me without being too dark or overpowering.
To the powers that be -- Thanks for reading, and please please please take more consideration for those of us with the fairest of fair skin tones. I also wouldn't mind if the Original and Matte loose foundations came in a fairer shade than "Fair".

Is there a fragrance to this?
I am very allergic to strong fragrances, which is why I am unable to wear the Buxom or plain BE lip balm.
If you are allergic to fragrance unfortunately this product is probably not for you. The Lip Sheer has an orange citrus scent, not objectionable to me, but definitely noticeable. I does not feel the way Buxom or BE lip balm does, I much prefer the feeling and texture of this product, but given your sensitivity I would not take the chance. Bummer, I think you might have liked this product, it is a shame they cannot be more accommodating to those of us with fragrance sensitivities.
