I know this is award winning, and I know that it got rave reviews, but I just CANNOT get it to work for my skin tone.
I am fairly light in the original powder, so I am very light skinned and have pinkish undertones.....
I wanted to love this so badly, but for as many months as I've had it I find myself continuously searching for a bronzer that doesn't make me appear so 'orange'. That's the best way I can describe it on my skin tone is orange or 'fake tan' color.
I keep using it only because I bought it and don't like wasting money by throwing things in the trash, but otherwise this color looks blech on me.

Ok so I bought this SORT of for the claims, but also for the idea that I could wear 'makeup' to bed.... I can't help it, I'm sort of a product junkie lol
So far I really like the product. I got it in translucent as I'm very fair skinned.
I apply this as the very last step in my nightly routine after moisturizer has dried ...
It imparts a slight 'diffusing glow' similar to a very light highlighting powder, so I enjoy that it semi-diffuses my imperfections at bed time.
I do find that when I use this faithfully that my complexion DOES look better in the mornings...... but when I DON'T and I use it sporadically it doesn't make too much of a difference.
So essentially my only gripes are that I have to remember to use it all the time if I want to see a real difference (geeeez lol) and well the holes get clogged and you have to use another brush to clean them out before more product will dispense.
Also if you do use too much it CAN wear/rub off on your sheets. I find when I use apprx 3 disbursements that's not a problem, but if I try to use more than it can wind up on my pillowcases.
Over all I do like the effect that it has with regular usage and would continue to buy it.

Better than it's predecessor....

So this eyeliner is by far better than the round the clock eyeliner that I despise to pieces .... I like it's shape, the precision tip, and the ease of use over all.
Pros: Goes on smoothly and blends well. The precision tip makes smudge lines or cat eye fairly easy. The blender on the end is GREAT - I love this feature & there is a drugstore brand eyeliner that has this feature but this blender shape on this one makes it 100% better than the cheap store version. Initial color payoff is nice.
Con: Well, after 8 hrs I can't reeeeeally tell I'm wearing it, there is a faint smudge shadow reminiscent of my original line but it's faded... so the long wear claim I can't say is totally accurate. Caveat I DON'T wear eye-lid primer, but I don't wear eye lid primer EVER and have other eyeliners that DO last all day and in to the evening (high end brand liner from boutique)
So while I definitely can say the pros outweigh the con, it still has a bit of the same 'wear off' issue I found in the round the clock liner although not as badly I will say that.
Also full disclosure - I was given this product from BM as a freebie.

I read the glowing reviews, all the sales people at the boutique are in love - etc etc etc. BUT, I can NOT apply this mascara with out getting that 'mascara line' on my eyelid riiiiiiiight above my eyelashes.
I have tried applying it several times, and at this point as I am WELL versed in mascara application, I have determined that this mascara is just not for me.
Maybe its my eyelash/lid shape, I have NO clue. All I know is that this mascara didn't do anything that the regular volumizing flawless def mascara did except make smudgey marks on my eyelid I had to go back and remove after application.
Ill stick to my other mascara from BE

Nice lipgloss

I have this lipgloss in the limited edition shade they did for a promo, Fab & Foxy - which is a sparkley light pink.
The reason Im writing this review on the regular lipgloss page is b/c I really like the lipgloss in general, including the color I got.
It has a slight minty tingle and is moisturizing but not sticky - which many glosses can be.
Sure it fades off just as a gloss would, but over all it's easy to apply, feels nice, and doesnt get all sticky yucky like some other glosses. I would buy again.

Not best for use w/ the concealer

Ironic right?
Well since I cant edit my review of the concealer it's self, Ill make a review of the concealer brush which is the tool that made me hate the concealer....
This brush is great for under eyes - NOT great for use w/ the bm concealer. It makes it absolutely hard to cover anything, and does not give a natural finish.. I thought it was the concealer!!!!
Went to the store and the associate told me to use a FULL concealer brush, or even a blending eyeshadow brush to apply the concealer - WHAT a difference!!! I actually bought another pot of concealer, use a full shadow blending brush, and this brush is now reserve for other things than bm concealer.

Love this blush

I have very fair light skin with blond hair and greenish eyes, so I need a nice light blush with big color payoff.
I have tried this in Vintage Peach, Flowers, and Joyful Jennifer (i think?). So far I like, the best - peach for a VERY light natural "glow"; Flowers for a more intense "just went for a slight jog" type pink; and JJ for an everyday not too pink not too peach color.
The color payoff is huge. You need a slight tiny tap amt of product on a tapered blush brush and BOOM - blush heaven. Plus so far it's stood up to about 10 hr days at the office give/take.
A pot would last a long time, I like the quality a lot. I did give it a few stars off b/c I don't feel the online picture represents the actual color which makes it insaaaaaaaaaaaaanely frustrating to pick a color online & you might end up exchanging it in stores.

Great as a mix in w/ your mineral veil

Backstory- I purchased a limited edition tinted illuminating mineral veil - and unfortunately am now addicted to using ONLY that vs. any other highlighter or veil.
Well, I ordered bare radiance in hopes of it being a good highlighter, which it is - nice natural and not very colored. I just hate the extra step plus dont feel the need for THAT much highlighter on a regular basis.
But to my surprise, I got the amazing idea to mix the bare radiance in to my tinted mineral veil and VOILA - tinted illuminating mineral veil = two steps in one. In love. ... The benefits of the mineral veil and a highlighter in one. *SQUEE!*
I would purchase this again JUST to make more of my tinted illuminating veil mixture.

I have tried several colors of the shadows and so far the 'brown' lines seem to be my favorite.
Pearl Satin (i think) is far too white; Graphite far too dark; Smokey Sage green is ok if you like greens.
But my favorites so far are Celestine - a nice pretty gray/purple/brozey color. Grace - a nice nude peachy sheen. Rapture - a very wonderful crease color, not too shimmery. Nude Beach - makes an especially good highlight, a litle too "white" not nearly enough "nude"/"brown" to be used as a base color IMO (even though at least 5 store employees have said its their fav color)
If you use a high quality brush and the correct application techniques then these apply lovely.
Dont forget a light fan brush to wisp away any fallout after youre done.

...but I know NOW that I was applying it incorrectly, whiiiiiiiiich is sort of a fault of the company IMO.
I had previously thought, no I don't need a precision face brush I have one JUST like it at home plus flawless face brush, full flawless face brush, AND handy buki brushes - and I refused to buy another brush. That was my mistake. With application from any of those other brushes the foundation is applied "splotchy" and looks bad.
When the girl at the boutique applied the foundation with the precision brush it was seriously a different finish all together. I was actually astonished at the difference the brush makes & I caved and bought ANOTHER bm brush.
But now I am happy. One "press" in to the foundation and I can cover 1/3 of my face with the precision brush.
So while I do like the ease of application, if you don't want to buy the precision brush then don't buy this foundation b/c you won't like the finish.

Questions

I can't find the sizes (wt.# for the individual products IN the palette. Does anyone know if they are #for example# sample sized #wt. of) products?
IE Sample size of the Ready foundation is .01 vs. full sized at .49 (if I remember correctly).

does the brush automatically come with the foundation or is that a seperate purchase?
I just wanted to know will the brush always come with the bottle of foundation or will that be separate purchase and not included in the 29 price?
The brush DOES NOT / will not come with the foundation for the 29 price. The only combo offer was on QVC for the brush and foundation together, and it was more than 29. That price is for foundation alone. I think I remember the BE FB page saying the brush is going to be 19 - but I am not totally sure about that.

Does the Pure Transformation Night Treatment (tinted) rub off on pillows?
I know the descriptions says it should not rub off on linens, but some people have had this happen. Right now I have the Clear, but I was considering after this one to get one with a tint to it. However, I don't want it to all rub off!

Has anyone had this problem? Thanks!
I have the clear color as well and I find that when I use too much it will still rub off on my pillow cases a little so I think thats how it is with any of the colors.....

I think the trick is to use exactly as instructed which (i believe) says to dip brush in product & buff on face apprx 3x.

When i try to dip the brush in product & buff on my face more than that/use more than that i have seen it on my pillowcases.

Mineral Veil
Can this be used BEFORE applying makeup, as a base?
I've had many sales associates at the boutiques suggest using the mineral veil (either ready or original) as a FIRST step before foundation esp if you have oily skin.

I find the original too light. I want to try the tinted but the pictures shows two very different colors.Which is closest to the actual product.
Will the color be too dark? I use medium base color.
If you're referring to the tinted mineral veil then the picture makes it look darker than it actually ends up being on your face.

I mix mine with a little AOFC bare radiance and it's perfect - I use fairly light foundation.

Is the brightener a white or clear liquid or is my applicator faulty?
The first time I used the brightener, a white liquid came out on the brush. The five days since, no matter how many times I turn the base, it appears nothing is coming out.... or it's a clear liquid.

Is it clear, am I doing something wrong or did I get a faulty applicator.
That is how my product is as well. I think this is intended to be a face 'illuminator' type product instead of an under eye conceal/highlight product #which is how it is advertised# which lends itself to the more white/neutral colored product.

application
How do I apply the new solid foundation? What tool do I use?
I have a similar version to their new brush that they came out with for this product. It's a very dense powder brush with a flat end - not rounded and fluffy like the original brush.

You place the brush on the compacted powder, then 'dab' it on your face (repeat until face is sufficiently 'covered' with the powder) - THEN buff in with that same brush. It's similar to the original foundation application in the 'buffing' of the powder, however the initial application is slightly differently. You don't swirl or tap it - you essentially are 'pressing' it on and THEN buffing it.

As mentioned, I found a very very dense powder brush with a flatened end works the best.
