It's PERFECT & overcame my skepticism

Experience 1: I walk into a Bare Minerals Boutique to get shade matched for the new READY foundation. The makeup artist uses this brush and I LOVE the result. It felt great when on my face and used so little foundation, yet coverage was excellent. I buy the READY foundation.
Experience 2: I try applying the READY Foundation at home using different BM foundation brushes, including my go-to Buki brush. Failure. Uneven application. Or too much application. Looks terrible. Did I really buy the same thing that the boutique artist applied to my face??
Experience 3: I finally decide to give the Precision Face Brush a try, despite the cost, which was rather high. I try to get my brushes in kits or on Last Chance sales. I reluctantly brought it home, experiencing buyer's remorse as well as doubt that it could really make a difference to the READY foundation application at home.
Experience 4: I tried it out for the first time. I used it just like the makeup artist had done. I. was. AMAZED. STUNNED. FLOORED. JUMPING FOR JOY! It was perfect! The READY foundation applied evenly, smoothly, gorgeously. It was better than I remembered from the boutique. And the brush was so soft!
Now it's my go-to foundation brush. It applies flawlessly and predictably every time. I HIGHLY recommend getting it, ESPECIALLY if you want to use the READY foundation. I use the READY, Original, and Matte. Love this brush. It's soft, doesn't shed, holds its shape, and performs greatly every time. I've been using it for over a month now consistently, and it's holding up very well despite being placed in and out of makeup bags and taken hither and yonder and back home again as I travel. I'm so glad I finally caved and bought it. It was SO WORTH IT! Thanks for a great brush!

The BEST - after learning how to do it right!

I was excited to try this product. When traveling, I prefer using foundation in a compact. Previously I had used another brand of mineral makeup for this purpose, but it really was NOT comparable to Bare Minerals (it felt heavy, it was thick or uneven, it didn't benefit my skin as BM does, etc.) So I'm so glad to have a BM option! I have used the Bare Minerals Original foundation for many years, and I have used the BM Matte foundation in the past year during summer humidity when my combination skin turns more oily. In the Original my shade is Fairly Medium. In the Matte my shade is Fair. I went into a BM Boutique to get shade matched for the READY Foundation, and it turns out I'm a Medium (darker than I had expected). When the makeup artist applied it to my face, I was AMAZED. First, the coverage was absolutely perfect. Stunning. Better than anything I'd ever managed before. Second, I noticed that he only touched the brush to the compact 2-3 times -- he used so little but the results were fantastic!
At home, I was WAY less than impressed. I tried all 3-4 different foundation brushes I already had by Bare Minerals. Didn't work like it did in the boutique. I read online that the brush really matters, so I splurged and got the Precision Face Brush. WOW! WHAT a difference! I applied it as the makeup artist suggested --
(1) Lightly tap brush into compact 1-2 times, tap once lightly [DO NOT SWIRL THE BRUSH!]
(2) Start at the outer edges of the face, and using long strokes, work inwards
(3) Continue using long strokes over the entirety of the face, buffing it and working it onto every part of your face
(4) You can repeat all 3 steps as needed, but I've found that doing step 1 only 2-3 times is more than sufficient for full coverage with the Precision Face Brush

Make sure your moisturizer and/or primer are totally soaked in and set before applying foundation -- otherwise the foundation tends to apply unevenly and it's not pretty [Tip: if I'm in a hurry in the morning, one of the first things I do is clean my face and apply moisturizer. A few minutes later I apply primer. I go about getting ready, and come back minutes later to do foundation. This maximizes my use of time and makes sure I don't apply foundation too soon in my rush.]
4. Don't apply as you would apply the loose foundation - No swirling the brush - Don't work from the center outwards if you're using the Precision brush.
5. Get shade matched. You'll probably be surprised.

NOW, the READY Foundation is my absolute favorite. The other day I had more time getting ready and I used my BM Original foundation. After finishing my makeup routine, I really didn't like what I saw. I've gotten so used to the READY, how it applies, the coverage it gives, etc. that it's now my favorite and the Original doesn't compare. The Original applies too thickly for my preference now and/or differs day to day depending on how careful I am when applying it (but the READY always applies the same way, predictably). This is probably just unique to me as a user. And even though I know I have the best shades in each of the foundations (I've gotten shade matched for all 3 kinds in the past 8 months), the READY shade matches me best, followed by the Matte. The READY feels the lightest of the 3, even though all 3 are very light compared to any other makeup brand I've tried (including mineral or organic mineral brands). Finally, I'm convinced that the READY make up will last me a very long time - I need so little to get full coverage.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS FOUNDATION!! THANK YOU BARE MINERALS!!!!!

Didn't realize how much I needed it!

While visiting a BE Boutique a couple months ago to get a shade match for the new READY foundation, the makeup artist used this primer on me. I was VERY skeptical. First, I didn't think I needed to smooth over my face. I don't have any blemishes, dry skin, flaking, etc. My face appears rather flawless with the exception of a few monthly hormonal blemishes, and I am comfortable without makeup any day (although that's not any fun!). Second, it felt oily, and the LAST thing I want for my combination normal to oily skin is anything that will tilt me to the oily side. Finally, would it REALLY help my makeup last longer? Well, when the artist finished, I was really impressed. My face did not feel oily anymore and coverage was totally even. A few weeks later I got this primer in a kit. I started using it as directed and am TOTALLY impressed. I had no idea how much I needed it! My makeup lasts all day long, no touch-ups needed! Coverage is perfect. If you are in any doubt if this product will improve your makeup routine and daily appearance, don't be! I highly recommend this product! I will definitely use this every day for as long as it is available. Thanks BE for such a pleasant, wonderful, helpful, and surprising product!

I was really excited to try this product. I often use the loose eyeshadow version (Well-Rested 20 spf Eye Brightener) but wanted something easier for on-the-go and travel. However, I doubt I will use this product, and if I do use it, I will combine it with another product (see "Alternatives" below). The downsides:
(1) Not as full of coverage as the loose shadow version. If you have very, VERY light "dark" areas, this might work well for you. Otherwise, I suggest trying the loose shadow version. I only notice the slightest difference under my eyes and elsewhere when I apply this product generously.
(2) It's difficult to get started. They suggest five "click" turns to get the product flowing. I tried diligently. Then a few more clicks. Nothing. Waited while I kept trying to apply it. Few more clicks, etc. I probably turned it more than twenty times before the product flowed the first time. Ever since then, it's been a little unpredictable about when enough will be in the brush. In sum, it's a tricky, unpredictable application mechanism.
Alternatives:
(1) I suggest the Bare Minerals powdered, loose shadow version of Well-Rested (20 SPF) for fuller coverage and controllable application.

(2) I also suggest Bare Minerals' "Stroke of Light Eye Brightener." It is better than all three at brightening (especially the under-eye area), and has slightly more coverage than this liquid well-rested product. Additionally, the Stroke of Light has an excellent application brush that's very easy to control. If you want an on-the-go, liquid option, try the Stroke of Light (which also layers well with the shadow Well-Rested for a best-of-both-worlds effect).

I got the "Perfect Natural" set and love it! I have very fair skin with pink undertones, strawberry blonde/brown hair and brown eyes. It looks great on me, and I think this color would be a great neutral color for any complexion (that's what the packaging claims, and I believe it). For those of us with fair skin tones, I would say that this color is a little darker than expected. You can definitely tell you're wearing lip color, and it is more of a tan-neutral than a pink-neutral (on my complexion anyway). For stronger coloring, use all three, but for lighter coloring, just use the gloss. It's still a great product I would recommend to anyone. As another reviewer said, this set can be used for a casual outing or a nice evening out. It's very versatile and goes with many colors (of makeup and clothes). It's now my default, go-to lip color when in a hurry, if nothing else really matches my outfit, or if I want to look as natural with makeup as possible.

What has better coverage: the SPF 20 concealer or the Well-Rested SPF 20 Eye Brightener?
I have dark circles and want to know which product is likely to work better for me. Super sensitive skin, too!

I suggest the Well-Rested SPF 20 Eye Brightener (loose shadow version) for dark under-eye circles. I have all three products: the powdered concealer, the powdered Well-Rested, and the liquid Well-rested. The concealer is really great for red marks, sun marks, or pimples. It neutralizes the color and works well under a foundation. If you have acne or get zits, it's a great thing to try! The Well-Rested Brightener (powder) lightens dark places and provides good coverage. The liquid version does not work as well for me (less brightening, less coverage, harder to apply). If you wanted to choose only one product that works really well for dark eye circles, I highly recommend the Well-rested SPF 20 loose powder shadow. I also have very sensitive skin, so much so that I cannot wear all BM products (e.g. eyelid primer, big and bright eye liner, etc), but the products you're asking about work really well for me. Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener
How do you open this pen? My husband & I both turned the tip clockwise. Nothing's happening.

Hold the product horizontal so that you can read the writing. Take the left cap off so you can see the brush. On the right you'll see the bottom of the product, which twists and makes a clicking sound every time you turn it clockwise one full turn. When using it for the first time, I suggest pointing the brush towards the ground and shaking the product so the liquid ends up near the brush end. Then turn the bottom of the product until you hear at least five clicks. Try applying the product via the brush. If nothing comes out, keep repeating the clicking and application until product reaches the brush and applies to your face. Hope this helps!
