So basically I'm a QVC fanatic (when it comes to Bare Minerals and one other makeup brand, but Bare Minerals is top for me). So it was only a matter of "when is this coming to qvc on advance order" and "how do I sign up for the advance order" for me to get on board. I've been using Bare Minerals for years. I can't even tell you the EXACT time I started using it, but I've been using it at least since before I met my fiance and before we had our daughter so at least 6 years or better. I venture off on a makeup journey and I always come back to Bare Minerals. I have broken out before in the past from other makeup brands and when I start using Bare Minerals, within a week I kid you not, my skin would clear up. It's like finding gold for me. I hope Bare Walnut works for me. I'm Golden Dark in the original foundation, Warm Dark in the READY foundation, I use Deep Bisque for the powder concealer, Deep 2 for the cream concealer and #4 for Stroke of Light. It would be fantastic if the color I chose fits me. If not, I can always return it or exchange it for a different shade once the other shades debut. I love how with Bare Minerals foundation I put it on and since it's powder, I really don't need to "set" it like some may do with BB/CC Creams and liquid foundation. I think it's clever that this is called a Serum Foundation versus liquid because some "liquid" foundations are more wet and the fact that this is called a "serum" advertises skin health AND beauty and not just paint on the face. Can't wait to see how this works for me! Thanks B.E. for B.E.lieving in new editions!!

I'm Golden Dark in the original and matte foundation and Warm Dark in the READY foundation. This showed up on my skin in a beautiful wash of color and you don't need much to achieve a look. I was skeptical at the color because not all pinks of this shade, at least what you see online, is okay for darker skin, but it shows up on my skin and I'm relieved. I've been using French Kiss from the READY blush line forever and I wanted something different, so I went for this that came in a smaller True Romantic set and I'm very happy with it. It gives the cutest little pop of color to my cheeks and I really like it. I'm 28 so I just need simplicity and this gives me simplicity and a tiny hint of playfulness that I really do think fits me like a glove.

I've tried samples of the moisturizer and eye cream before in past orders and was a fan every since. I have combination skin so this works great. Before I didn't use moisturizer on my face because of how on/of my skin was being oily, but this moisturizer gives hydration to my face but doesn't make it look like a grease ball once my makeup look was completed. My routine is basically moisturizer, primer, foundation, clear powder, blush, eyebrows, eye color, eye liner, mascara and my lips. Sounds like a lot, but it takes me 7 minutes at the most to do my whole face. I usually use one pump of the smaller bottle of moisturizer (which I'm now using for travel since I have this larger size to use at home now). This larger size bottle puts out less with one pump, so 2-3 pumps max is all you need to apply to the face. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave the face feeling nasty and greasy. Even better there's a local store here that carries Bare Minerals products so I can go and get more anytime I want (and when money is well enough for me to get it lol). The price of this trio is unbelievable and I had to jump on it. A full size eye cream alone is $32. So to get all three of these for $28, and having the moisturizer in jumbo size, is incredible and I'm glad I got it before it sold out. I had my eye on it for a while and it sold out once and then it came back and the price reduced more if my memory serves me correctly. So I had to get it before it disappeared out of my life for good. The eye cream feels soft and souffle like to me. A little bit will do it, so don't over do it. Don't just use this under the eye. I use it under, over and in the inner corners of my eyes. I promise you, in a couple days you'll notice puffy tired eyes improving. I have a 4 year old daughter and she's full of energy all day, even if she didn't take a nap! And on top of that I work at a daycare 30 hours a week...in the infant room. So it's no walk in the park when it comes to my 5-day routine. So between the eye cream and stroke of light, those are great for giving my face the lift I need so that I don't look like I had a really tough night. The wrinkle repair, not to sound mean or disrespectful, but at the moment I don't have issues with wrinkles, but I will use it as an alternative to the eye cream until I can afford a jar of it again. The eye cream jar itself would be great to put moisturizer in (any kind you want). It's great for travel because of its size lol. I REALLY REALLY wish that the moisturizer bottle (and the original small one) had a bigger hole so I can use the bottle again because it's an airless pump bottle. If you unscrew the top off, you'll notice that the bottle doesn't have a straw like most bottles do. Airless pump dispensers help get all the product out and enables you to get the most out of your container and not wasting it. All in all, incredible value and I use my moisturizer everyday before work and the eye cream every night before bed.

Everything is small and compact in size. I like small makeup products because I'm more apt to using them and even better, it takes up less space than full sized products. The gloss fits great in my cosmetic organizer along with the other small moxie glosses I have in my arsenal. The blush is in my favorite color, French Kiss. It's a watermelon pink just as the description says for the READY blush in this shade. I already had the full size of the blush so I gave the small blush brush and small blush to my sister as part of a stocking stuffer for Christmas just last month. She likes it!

I had my eye on this duo since around my bday in September, Here it is almost the end of December and about a week ago I cashed in on it. I called Ulta to see if it was there and they were pretty busy because I waited forever both times I called to get an answer so after 400 years pass, I finally got an answer lol. They said they would get a shipment in maybe by the end of the week. Something told me to check in at the store the next day. So I leave for work earlier than usual, go into the store and I find the duo! Sitting right there near some some other small $20 and under gift sets. So happy I got them. I have a picture of them if you can see it well. They're small so they can fit into your purse, clutch or wristlet easily. Berry Remix is a pretty tint of berry. Pink Pulse is subtle and I like that. They're both subtle just in their own way. They're hydrating too and not drying on my lips. Another reviewer mentioned how it smells like a dreamsicle lol. And you know what? It REALLY does :-) That's kind of fun. I'm glad I purchased these.

In the original powder I'm Golden Dark, same for the Matte. In the READY foundation, I'm Warm Dark. I've used Clear Radiance on my skin from a free 4-pc. set I received free from a $40 bare minerals purchase at my local Ulta store. Very pleased with it! It was the LAST one they had. Came with a mini primer, mini mascara, mini moxie gloss in Rebel and a small container of Clear Radiance. I used this with one of my bare minerals mini Taklon/Synthetic tapered blush brushes from my 4-pc. Mini Masters set. I would dust this evening all over my face. I feel that a "swirl, tap, buff" motion would be good on the original brushes to apply this. On the Taklon/Synthetic brush I've been using, I feel the brushes hold IN powder in one spot versus the powder being distributed over the bristles like the original brush. In my opinion, the Taklon brushes are softer and it's good for applying foundation. As far as finishing powder (mineral veil) and complexion enhancers (clear radiance, warmth, rose radiance, etc.) I feel that has to be more even along the bristles or have a lot of product so that it can spread evenly on the face. But the Taklon bristles ARE soft and my makeup looks much better when I use them to apply my makeup. I still have my two loose powders (original and matte) and also my Flawless Face Brush to fall back on or travel with just in case. The small container this Clear Radiance is in, I would put it in a bigger jar top so I can properly swirl this evenly amongst the bristles and apply it all over my face. IN a small container, the powder collects evenly to just the TIP of the brush and that makes application a little more difficult. All in all, I love both types of brushes. Clear Radiance is a win for me. I wouldn't apply it all the time on my face because it does have a bit of a glowy/dewy/sheen look to it so a little goes a long way. Too much and it may look along the lines of a highlighter/luminizer kind of look. Since I have darker skin, Warmth or Rose Radiance may be a better choice for me. Clear Radiance isn't a complete "no" for me, but it works in moderation. Warmth does warm my skin, but subtly. It kind of blends into my skin and not exactly noticeable. The Rose Radiance, mention to me by a BE representative via customer service, would be a great complexion enhancer for darker skin. I haven't tried it yet, but it does look really pretty and hopefully one day I'll be able to try it :-)

Phrases Chosen: natural, can be buildable, a good match for me
I could wear this everyday even with no makeup on and look very natural. No kidding. Want to know something even better? The last time I've had my brows waxed was like nearly ten years ago. That's the only time I've had my brows done. I've used a razor to touch up here and there. But over the years, I guess stress, being overweight and being a mom too takes on a toll on the body. Lately, my left eyebrow looks as if it's not there compared to my right eyebrow. This pencil really does function like a powder...just like another reviewer mentioned. Her review had me sold on getting it and so I bought it. Very happy with it.
I included a before and after picture. I don't like using a SUPER heavy hand when doing my brows because I don't want to look overdone, but natural and clean. The before picture I was near a lamp in my room and it was really bright, but you can tell my eyebrows were just non-existent. But in the after, it looks natural. In both the before and after pictures I have absolutely no makeup on, no moisturizer and no primer. Not even a cocoa butter lotion or lotion on my face. I cleaned and washed my face so you can see me for me and what the brows look like by themselves. I wondered how it would be if I used a heavier hand than with my powder and surprisingly it just remained looking natural. I LOVE that. Nothing is worse than having a brow that's a little too dark. I'm 28 years old with a daughter turning 4 next month...I don't need to look like a diva lol! So this pencil works for me and I would probably get a second one just to have as an away brow filler for trips. Hope this helps!

This palette is perfect for me because I need to get makeup on faster and get out the door. I just landed a new job working with infants. So the faster I can put on makeup in the morning, the more I fan focus on getting through my morning faster and get to work comfortably without taking too much time doing my makeup. I included three pictures so that you can see what it looks like in comparison. This collection doesn't come with the Flawless Face Brush that you see. I included it in the pictures so you could see that you get a good amount of product in this collection. Don't let the smallness of the brushes in the palette fool you. They cover a pretty good amount of ground. You can use your Precision Face Brush for the foundation or your Flawless Face Brush if you want buildable coverage. The little brushes will definitely give you decent coverage. I have to be honest though, it takes a while to build it up, but when you do, it's worth it. I love the different shade of Veil now. Before it was Original or Tinted, but now there's different veils to compliment different skin tones. The bronzer, which I'm still learning about, matches my skin tone. Not sure if that's how it's supposed to be, but I like it anyway. The Luminizer is really pretty. That has never failed me. I do wish the concealer, for my skin tone, was Deep 2 versus Dark 2 and I wish the High Dive bronzer was The Deep End. I think that in the future I may purchase The Deep End because it may be dark enough to show up on my skin and I can blend it out. I have a round, plump face so I like to contour subtly to create the illusion of scaling down my face. The size of this collection is wonderful and I think anyone will love it. If I had to purchase each one of the items in this kit, it would be a fortune. So the price can't be beat and it's worth it if you don't wear makeup a whole lot. I like wearing makeup usually when I need to look a little refreshed going to the store maybe, going out definitely and if I'm going to work I definitely want to pull out all the stops (retails jobs I had in the past) but since I'm working with children, I need to have a neutral, fresh looking face that's friendly, welcoming and not overwhelming and this kit does it for me! All I have to add to it is my Cheek to Chic (for the blush or if I want to use the luminizer), mascara, liner, eyebrow pencil and a soft, neutral lip color and I'm good to go. Simplicity at its best for me. Thank you, BE!

I have this in the original, untinted loose powder. In the READY Veil, I purchased the tinted. In the Original Foundation I use Golden Dark and in the READY foundation, I use Warm Deep (the Golden Dark in the READY foundation runs too light for me so I had to go a shade up). The original loose powder veil and the tinted READY veil both work for me. I don't touch up during the day because not only am I so busy, but touching up in between in my line of work is barely an option unless I am able to leave work for lunch lol. I like how I look so clean, vibrant and set for the day. I use the veil as my last step in my makeup process. Not sure why this has low ratings, but I think it's wonderful. The key is not to glob this stuff on your face. If you do, then yeah...you're going to look cakey and unbalanced. If you use a little at a time and blend it out (swirl tap buff for the original powder and tap and buff for the READY veil) then you won't have a problem.

What is the point of lip liner?
I've never used lip liners before and honestly can't tell much difference when someone else uses them. Aside from layering colors (which you can do with just good old lipstick and glosses), is there much of a purpose to buying a liner?

Thanks!
Number One Contributor
Number One Contributor
Lip Liner is used to keep lipstick from bleeding outside of the lips. Apply lip liner (that's a neutral shade) and fill in from the line of your lip to the middle of both lips and then add the lipstick. If lipstick or lipstick pencil is too bland you can add a little gloss to bump it up. If you're not a lipstick wearer, then lip liner may not be for you. Personally I don't use it. I dont have the issue with lipstick bleeding outside my lips. I just apply lipstick, tiny bit of gloss and blot if it's too much on my lips. I have darker skin and my top lip is already pigmented so I have to apply lipstick to the bottom lip and press my lips to get product on the top one so that it doesn't make me look clownish. I included a link for you to check out.

What is a good brush to replace the handy buki with?
I've had my handy buki brush for years (I'd say about 6-8); I received it with the starter kit. Recently I took notice that the bristles in the center had broken off, so I decided that I was in need of new a brush. I noticed that BM makes a whole bunch of different kinds of brushes now, and I was wondering which would be a good brush to replace the handy buki?

Bare Minerals is for all skin types. No kidding, my face broke out once and in less than a week of going back to Bare Minerals, my face cleared up very nicely. I've been using Bare Minerals for at least 6 years now. Original is great for any time of the year. I too have combo skin. So in my makeup routine, I don't use moisturizer, but I use just enough primer for my face so that my makeup can last. Primer is a must. Matte Foundation is good for the summer time where combo skin is oilier because of the sun and you tend to sweat more. You can try either the READY or loose powder version of mineral veil. Personally I like the pressed powder version. You can tap the brush in and buff lightly all over the face. If you prefer powder that's fine too. You have a better chance of the powder absorbing the oily areas of your face. You can use veil under or over makeup. Here is my makeup routine:

Primer
Concealer
Eye Brightener
Foundation
Blush
Fill in the brows
Eyeliner
Shadow Stick and/or eyeshadow combined
Mascara
Face Defender or Mineral Veil
Lipstick with gloss or just lip gloss

That's it. The face defender I speak of I can't say the brand it is, but it's great for targeting oily areas of the face. Search the internet for "face defender" and you should find it. Hope this helps.

I haven't seen any refills. This kit is fairly new. I have this kit in Golden Deep. I don't see a way for this to be a refill unless you pay for what's inside the keepsake makeup clutch which I would imagine would be the same cost as the foundation by itself IF refills were produced. Good idea tho!

I know you have to go darker in Ready Foundation, so why would they make the concealer darker? I wear Fairly Light in Loose Foundation, and I have Fair/Light Skin w/ neutral undertone, will the concealer match?

If this is in reference to the Ready to Go Complexion Perfection Palette, if you go to the product page, and click on what shade you would be in the READY foundation, in the description box it will tell you what shade foundation will be in the kit, the veil shade, bronzer shade and then the luminizer. If you want to know about what concealers will be good for you in general, here is a link that shows you what would work for you:

http://www.bareescentuals.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site/default/Experience-Show?cgid=BE_SUB_CONCEALER

I have the Ready To Go palettle in Golden Deep, but there's a Dark 2 concealer in it. That's lighter than the concealer I'm used to using because I actually would prefer a concealer that hides my shades and blends into my skin versus trying to lighten my shadows (for this brand of makeup). So if you get a kit where the concealer is lighter than usual, then you should be in the clear since that's what you're looking for. Hope this helps!

How do I know which shade to purchase?
I wear "golden fair" in my usual foundation
Number One Contributor
Number One Contributor
Here is a link I will share with you. It shows the Original shades and what top shades in the READY foundation may be a match for you. I suggest going to your local BE retail store and get color matched or send a profile picture of yourself with no makeup on to a BE rep and see if they can determine your perfect shade. They helped me A LOT. I thought for a while I was medium deep in the original and turns out I was really golden dark. HUGE difference. In the READY, I thought I would be Golden Dark too, but it's too light. So I tried Warm Deep and for almost a year I thought this was my right shade because I was color matched at the store. The color seemed to match my skin well and the Golden Deep, I could see it. Well, this year, Warm Deep seems light on me. My mom told me it looked light on me and white looking. So I would have to take a fluffy brush and blend blend blend to scale it down. I think I use a little too much when I tap my brush in and that could affect the final look too. But this kit I purchased Golden Deep and the color seems to be better for me than last year. I'm not sure if it's because the summer weather has darkened my skin or what, but at least I have the Warm Deep and this Golden Deep in the kit to bounce back and forth with. Make sure you moisturize and prime before you apply concealer and foundation. You can apply your makeup a lot easier and smoother (you will feel like you're gliding it on when you moisturizer and prime before makeup application) :-) I hope this helps!

What is the difference between the READY 'Touch Up Veil' and READY pressed Mineral Veil? Thanks!
Love the READY products, but not really interested in the previously introduced Mineral Veil READY product...thank you...

I'm not sure if this will help or not, but here is my understanding of the variation of veils according to the ones I searched for on this website:

1. Hydrating - Loose Mineral Veil - hydrating, cooling and brightening finish
2. Illuminating - Loose Mineral Veil - subtly brightening dewy finish
3. Tinted - Loose Mineral Veil - translucent soft finish with a hint of warm tint
4. Original - Loose Mineral Veil - translucent soft finish

Now...as far as the READY Mineral Veil goes, there's an Original and Tinted Mineral Veil in the pressed READY compact. Those were the first pressed mineral veils that came out from the READY line. I have the Tinted myself and use the Soft Focus Face Brush because you don't need much. Too much can make you look cakey. I have Golden Dark skin in the Original/Matte Foundation and Warm Deep (fall/winter)/Golden Deep (spring/summer) in the READY Foundation. So I REALLY have to make sure my face doesn't look cakey, ghostly and just wrong lol.

The NEW READY Mineral Veils that came out had a nifty name to it: Broad Spectrum. To my understanding, The Broad Spectrum mineral veil (which I only see in different shades in the Ready To Go Complexion Perfection Collection) comes in different shades to compliment your skin tone versus the original and tinted mineral veil which may be too cakey looking or not the right finishing powder for certain skin tones. The Touch Up Veil and READY pressed Mineral Veil are one in the same (to me). I think it just has different names to it. To make it interesting.

For example if you saw READY pressed mineral veil, the first thing you think about is the fact that it's not loose, messy powder, but it's pressed right? Well, some people don't know that this finishing powder can be used throughout the day to whisk away some oiliness and try to get your makeup looking back to normal after a hard day's work. Therefore, saying that the pressed mineral veil is a "Touch Up Veil" will give you the idea that you can touch up your look and not just use it once when you put on your face in the morning. If you carry the veil with you, you can LIGHTLY touch up through the day and give your veil more use than just a once a day application.

So all in all, READY Touch UP Veil IS the READY pressed mineral veil. If you see Mineral Veils in different hues of color, you will find them in the Ready To Go Complexion Perfection Collection. I haven't seen the different hue shades of the veil except in this collection and on Sephora.com. I just see Tan and Tinted for now and the other shades aren't in stock yet since this is brand new!

I hope this helps!!
