Terrific Trio
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Phrases Chosen: variety, emergency backup
This little trio is a great gift! Please keep in mind that they are very small compared to their full-size cousins, but you're getting a variety. This is great of folks afraid to buy a big tube of a new color, but want to try something outside their norm. I'm normally a pink girl, but this let me try out gold and purple too!
I keep one in my purse for emergency backup in case I forget or lose my big tube.

Phrases Chosen: smooth, clean, easy to apply, neutral scent, creamy
I've found that I don't need a facial primer when using this moisturizer. I just apply it as normal, wait for it to dry, and apply my BE makeup routine. The scent isn't overpowering and it applies smooth and easy. I got a trial size of this on Cyber Monday and immediately bought a full size one once it ran out!

Great for eyeshadow

Phrases Chosen: quick, easy
I use this product most often when I'm doing a layered look in eyeshadow using multiple shades and colors, such as green/gold or green/purple. Colors should be defined and blended, not smudged and mixed. This product ensures the first color is completely off your brush before you start with the next. It works wonderfully and dries fast. Highly recommend it to anyone who uses more than one color eyeshadow at a time!

Phrases Chosen: versatile, blendable, soft, smooth
I use this brush for everyday light application, as well as blending and layering of special looks like smoky eye and gradient blending. Both ends are wonderfully soft (I was really worried about the pointed end being too stiff) and hold just the right amount of product.
Tip: This brush changes colors really easily with the Quick Change Brush Cleaner.

A must have for BE brushes
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Phrases Chosen: worth the investment, musthave, effective, easy to use
This shampoo is an absolute must-have for keeping your BE brushes clean and working in tiptop shape. It is gentle, effective, and so easy to use! Just a dab on the brush, a bit of water, work it in, and rinse while rubbing some more.
You'll be absolutely amazed at how much product (no matter what kind of product) comes out the first time you try it! I rubbed the soapy brush around on my palm to get it through all the fibers and my whole hand turned the color of my foundation! Not to mention the Mineral Veil, which is a product that sets your foundation. So it was set into my brush!
I now use this once every other week and my brush performs like new (or better) all the time.

The Only Brush I Use
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Phrases Chosen: soft, doesn't shed, holds shape, performs well
This brush provides the perfect amount of coverage for me. Many people rave about the Buki brushes, saying they need a lot of coverage. For me, the Flawless Application Face Brush is just right. The tapered shape holds up well after shampooing and I have only lost about 2 fibers in the entire time I've had it.
For those saying their brush is shedding uncontrollably, I think they may have gotten a fluke. I'm sure they could exchange the brush and the new one would perform perfectly.

I have never been so pleased with a mascara as I am with this one! The consistency is perfect, allowing accurate application with minimal strokes. I never knew my lashes could look this good, but still feel lightweight so I can go to work wearing mascara.

Major congrats on the loss of the weight and gain of the new you!

The best I can suggest for you is to go to a retail store such as Ulta or a bareMinerals store (if there's one near you) and ask for the consultant to do a color palette on you. Most stores are more than happy to do this for you because they want you to be happy so they an get your repeat business. A nice high-end store like Ulta will take the time to find the colors that look best on you, and most have samples that they will put on you in the store to see first-hand.

Good luck and have fun!

I usually towards a sheer deeper pinkish color
Top 100 Contributor
The best thing I can suggest is for you to find a retail store that offers BE products, such as Ulta or even an actual bareMinerals store, and go get color matched. Most of these stores are more than happy to help you find a color that looks good on you (and most have samples you can try on). Because if you love the product, then you'll keep coming back!

what would be the best liner to go with the 7 layer cake lipgloss?
i am purchasing the 7 layer cake lip gloss. i'm wondering what you would recommend as the best color liner.
Top 100 Contributor
Unfortunately 7 Layer Cake is a very light shade and the only lip liners currently available on the website are rather dark, mostly berry colors. Your best bet would probably be to go to a retail store that sells BE, such as Ulta or even an actual BE store, and see if they still have any lighter liners. Good luck!

What are bareMinerals best eyecolors for me
What are bareMinerals best eyecolors for me. My eyecolor is green/blue depends what I wear. Hair is colored but originally redtones. Color red
Top 100 Contributor
My eyes tend to go a bit blue with clothes sometime as well, but are primarily green. Browns with blue accent will bring out more of the blue. while green light/dark paired and a purple accent will make green eyes *pop*.

For a softer look with green in mind, try a combo of light and dark green, with a bit of gold accent in the crease.

Purple is the traditional *pop* color for green eyes. I have found with my medium skintone (Fairly Medium foundation) and brunette hair, dark green on the lid, light green on the arch, and accented in gold is a great not-as-dramatic look for daytime. Purples are more of an evening color, in my humble opinion, so I tend to go lighter, softer colors at work and such.

Is the titanium dioxide ingridient safe to use? I read when the dust is inhaled it causes cancer
I love the product; however, I'm concerned about the cancer factor as the eyecolor can be easily inhaled.
Top 100 Contributor
Titanium Dioxide is used in everything from sunscreen to food coloring. It's a pretty common chemical in beauty and skin products; used, but not as frequently, in food additives.

These days, just about anything can give you cancer. Some people say deodorant does it, but I'm not about to go around sweaty and nasty from fear of "might."

Consider all sources when doing research on stuff like this. As Confucius said, "If you believe everything you read, better not read."

When washing brushes, how should they look afterwords?
I washed my newly purchased brushes for the frist time two days ago. I dried them on the edge of my counter and after they dried, the brushes were poofy. Now the full flawless and flawless bruses are hard to use in the lids. All other brushes dried to their original form.
Top 100 Contributor
Try this: Rewash your brush with the shampoo. When you're done and it's all rinsed out, remove the water carefully via squeezing, but DON'T flick the brush around (such as the tapping motion when we Swirl-Tap-Buff). Instead, carefully reshape the damp bristles with your fingers into their original main shape, then lay it on a paper towel carefully to dry. I recommend putting something under the handle-end (such as a piece of another paper towel rolled up) to keep the bristles angled downward slightly and encourage any lingering water to run out of the brush instead of getting stuck inside. If you reshape it carefully and let it sit, they should go back to the original shape.

how often do you wash the brushes
i got bare essentials for Christmas and i need to know when to wash the brushes
Top 100 Contributor
Like most of the other answers, I wash mine once every 2 weeks. I use the same brush for both foundation and Mineral Veil. The Mineral Veil "sets" your makeup, so it essentially "sets" in your brush. If you tend to use more Mineral Veil, you might want to wash it more often.
