Do NOT pay for this! You get it free in most get started kits AND all the videos can be found for FREE on youtube. Also, I barely found this helpful as all the women in the video have beautiful flawless skin without the makeup so you don't get a very good instruction on how to apply for those of us who need the extra coverage. It's almost laughable to watch Leslie try to cover their invisible 'blemishes' or 'imperfections'. I found it most helpful to read what real users do or to check out real users on youtube, plenty of tutorials there of folks without perfect skin!

I use this bad boy everyday. The concealer works as well as any other BM offers. The other side is the perfect size to apply radiances. I knocked off a star because this brush sheds the worst of all my BM brushes. At least 7-10 bristles end up on my face, clothes, or counter top. It must not bother me too much I guess, I still use it everyday!

CONS: This is basically a regular powder in my opinion. It didn't have the Original's 'perfect glow' 'soft lighting' nor did I feel it minimized my pores as well. It is very matte and blah looking when applied, like the old powder I used before I started using BM. It just doesn't buff away my imperfections like the Original.
PROS: It seemed to control my oily spots better. It does set the rest of the make up in place. I would recommend using radiances and other AOFC on top to brighten it up. The additional SPF is pretty cool.
I'm going to try using this pre-foundation in my oily areas, then use the Original post-foundation.

Nice, soft, full coverage brush

I was delighted to get this brush and thrilled with its application. I had been using the handi buki brush for the foundation because I like a full coverage. It did a great job except I did not like the scratchiness/roughness of the bristles. Even with the conditioning shampoo I found it too rough. Besides being very pretty in a genius case, this brush gives you a full coverage application and has a very soft satiny feel. I think the hand buki will still give a slightly fuller coverage but the scratchiness is not worth it. This brush is the superior alternative!

The colors are all a nice matte, which I actually like because it seems to me that bareMinerals makes a heck of a lot of shimmery sparkly colors and not enough matte. I like shimmery sparkly, but for a muted natural everyday look I have always had a set of browns. Since I recently switched to BM, this set fits that bill! Yes the pots are petite, but not a deal breaker and expected for the amazing price! You do have to be a little careful so as not to spill when tapping and swirling but this is also not a deal breaker for me. Would be nice to have a liner brush included, but I have several of those already, they just wont fit in the case. I found the case to be plenty sturdy. The pot lids make a clicking noise when secured. I was also excited to try well-rested. For the price, especially the current sale price, you cannot pass this bargain up!

Wow! This made the bristles so soft, I hadn't realized they were getting so coarse but I could tell a HUGE difference. All my brushes dried overnight and held there shape, I was worried about fraying but didn't need to! In fact, it improved fraying. I am very satisfied with this product and will order it again and again.

Great colors - slightly leaky case

Upon arrival, some of the light blue powder had spilled out around the pot. Again, this happened BEFORE I even opened it. I'm not sure how tightly it seals because of this, which makes me nervous, so I have been delicate with it so as not to spill more. I found the instructions very easy to follow and I think the colors looked great together when the instructions were followed. Start slow, and build up to a heavier hand with each color until you reach the desired look, a little goes a LOOOONG way. Also, I like the mini brush and I use it more than anything in this kit.

bM simply makes the best eye liner for the following reasons:
*it glides on smooth
* the tip is never too pointy or too dull, no need to resharpen and then smudge it on your own before applying.
*the colors, pretty much all their colors, look good on pretty much everybody! I was never one to wear blue, purple, gold eyeliner in my adult years but for some reason I can't explain, they look GOOD on me and I don't look like a pre-teen punk.

I have to agree with the reviewer that said the antique gold doesn't really appear very gold, just a few gold flakes, but mostly black. Still cool though.

I throw this in my cart every time I purchase something online. I have combination skin so it's perfect for my skin. This makes my skin feel tight, but not dry-tight, more like youthful-tight. And well hydrated. This and the primer are the secret to the perfect base to apply the foundation. I can get about two uses out of this little packet.

This brush was a nice surprise. It is full sized. The bristles are very soft and I feel it distributes the product nicely. My favorite traits are the soft bristles and the case. It comes with a lid so it is very practical for traveling, and the color is even more gorgeous in person!

How long is the retractable kabuki brush when it is 'retracted'?

This brush is slightly less than 4 inches long. The bristles are approx 1 1/2 inches long. It is 4 in whether retracted or not. The retraction is the silver part just below the bristles, you pull it up to cover the bristles then apply the cap and it slides the silver part back into place with the bristles tucked safely inside the cap. Hope this makes sense! It's a really cool brush!

im not sure how to use this brush
This brush could be used for either but I prefer to use it for the veil. I use the handy buki for my foundation bc I like the full coverage but if you don't need full coverage I see no reason why you couldn't use this brush for your foundation.
