This is by far the best gold eyeshadow I've ever tried: it's not too light, so I don't think it would clash against darker skins, but as far as I have experienced it add the ultimate shimmer and intensity to fair skins... and unlikely other BareEscentuals colors, you don't need to use too much to have a very intense result!

This brush swipes on well-rested for eyes really beautifully, but I am sorry to say it is terribly scratchy... I have very sensitive skin and have to be utterly careful when using the light stroke brush, if I don't want to get my face all reddened!

I love this product! I don't mix and match colors, but I used Quick Change after every make-up application and my brushes are good as new!!! Just spray a little bit on a tissue and gently rub your brushes on it... they'll last for EONS!!!

but I like to underline it, hoping someone up in the BE headquarters takes it as a hint...
This brush is fantastic, super soft, no shedding at all (trust me, I've had this brush for 3 years now and if I say no shedding at all, I really mean it!)... BUT it'd be better if it had a long handle... let's say... a large version of the Handy Buki...

Let's begin saying I started out full of good intentions for this product: apart for the smell, which took me a little bit getting used to, I was already conquered by the description. What you need to know is that I first got this product when I was a tender teenager and my skin used to behave accordingly: uber-sensitive (I am an allergic subject), but with an oily-ish T-zone... I got Skin Rev-er Upper when I bought my first Get Started kit and after just one day I noticed my skin felt super smooth. Love at first sight, you might say... Alas, no! Because after three to four days of applying this product just once a day, my skin got all bumpy, as if I had thousands of little pimples coming up... At first I put the blame on my hormones-freaked condition of teenager, so I waited three years before going back to a new bottle, full of hope... No, no change at all... Still perfect after the first day, dry, bumpy and itchy afterwards... :(
I'd recommend this product to those who have a fairly tough skin, not a sensitive one like my own... Sorry Rev-er Upper, between the two of us it was just not meant to be!!! I still give it 3 hearts because I'm partially responsible for the failure of our relationship, but I still wish there was a gentler version...

Liner Shadow - Coffee Bean
Intense color for a variety of eye-defining effects.
How can I stop my lower-lid liner shasow from smearing during the day?
I just started using BE liner shadow. I use it as a liquid and apply a thin line to both lower and upper lids, but by the end of the work day, the lower line seems to have "dried" and smeared below my eyes. Not attractive! Any application tips or other ideas? thanks!
Your lower lids are not really a good area for liquid liner, because you might not even notice, but your eyes get moist very easily when you are exposed to wind, sun, dust, basically everything and a powder liner would be much less sensitive to climate change... try a liner shadow and apply it dry!

I have very fair porcelain skin. I use Fair and Bisque daily.
No, it won't, unless you are get very tanned... I got it in the get started kit, together with Fairly Light, but I had to give it to someone with a darker skin than my own... I'd personally stick with Fair or Fairly light...

Is this product supposed to have a strong scent?
The product has a strong chemical odor. Is that because of the ingredients? I have not encountered this before with other Prep products from BE
Yes, it's the acids in it... they are very good for your skin, because they act like exfoliators and they summon water to your skin layers, so they are rather common in beauty products, but their smells are usually covered by fragrances. The fact that you can smell them it's an indicator that BE does NOT put in anything more than strictly needed, such as fragrances.
