Any kit with the SPF 25 Mineral Veil is a a must!!

This particular kit is an amazing GREAT bargain on a medium size of the SPF 25 mineral veil all by itself. The inclusion of a great lip gloss and the smallest Pure Radiance makes it almost a crime not to at least TRY it.

I also bought this as part of an online preview special--that mini concealer was completely irresistible at $15, so I actually bought 2--the rest of the kit is a bonus. I use the original Well Rested every day, and the jar in my 'never unpack it' bag is getting a little low; the smaller jar may fit in there a little better than the one I'm using right now.
I'm not the world's biggest fan of this new 'pen' version of the Well Rested, though. It's a good thing I purchased these specifically for the mini concealer brushes, because I'd have been mad if my reason were these WR pens.
The problem is that the 'brush' element provides really....spotty....control of the product. When I first tried to use it, I probably clicked it 5 times at least TWENTY-five times before I got the first droplet of product to infuse the brush. The next day, 3 clicks produced 2 droplets; then next after than, 1 click produced a huge glob. I've been playing with this for 2 weeks now, and I don't think I've ever gotten the same amount of product 2 days in a row.
And both wands have the exact same problem. I thought it might just be that the first one was defective, so I opened the second kit and tried the other one, and either they're both broken, or this just design just doesn't work for diddly-doo.
The Stroke of Light "wand" provides much better product control in terms of amount and placement; I wish this used a wand delivery system instead of this messy, unpredictable pen. I suspect that if I could ever get a consistent amount of it on my face, I might like it; as it is, I haven't worn it out of the house yet.
Because I bought this for the mini concealer brush, the WR pen was just a bonus item that doesn't work, and so I'm not taking off any stars. But if you're considering buying this to TRY this new version of Well Rested, you might want to give it a pass.

Beyond Amazing--this stuff is ASTOUNDING

Lipstick in general is far from my favorite make up product--I'm a talker, and a smiler (and a frowner) and traditional lipsticks just wear off really, really fast for me. Even colors that I love, I just don't use a lot, because they don't last. I have very much tended to 'tinted lip glosses' that I felt really comfortable reapplying without a mirror.
Not anymore.
I got the first one of these as part of a kit, and I tried it out one night when I went to a play with some friends, thinking it was just a lip gloss. Imagine my surprise when I walked into the ladies room at intermission, prepared to reapply it--it had been almost 2 hours since I'd put it on, I expected it would be completely worn away--and it looked barely smudged!!! Not even so smudged that it needed a retouch!!!!
I actually didn't need to reapply it until after we ate a late supper, following the show. Right before I left the restaurant, I checked again. It was 3 hours, plus a meal, before I felt like I needed to reapply it.
So...I ordered a bunch more and IT WASN'T A FLUKE.
This is far and away the best lip color out there. I have some lipsticks that cost close to 4 times what this does, and none of them work even one tenth as well. Even the other Bare Minerals lipsticks--which are better than most--are this good.
It needs to be renamed--amazing just doesn't do it justice, in my book.

....the dreadful pattern on the acrylic box.
It just gets worse every day it sits on my counter, that pattern. I know, JA is a design genius and all.....but that pattern clashes with literally everything in my bathroom. You can't tell how jarring it really is in the boutique where there are several of them displayed, or online, where the colors aren't necessarily perfectly displayed by your monitor--but the colors and that pattern are just appalling.
I HATE the pattern. Really, really despise it. I literally lay a handtowel OVER the box, because that pattern makes my eyes cross!
And that's really, really sad: because the acrylic box itself is really worth 7 stars, all by itself.
The box is a great size, divided in the right 'unequal proportions to lay mascaras, liners etc, on one side of it, while your lipsticks fit exactly in the square part--you can even store them standing up, with labels readable, and the lid fits perfectly. I've got more than a dozen lipsticks in mine that way, right now. Plus the lid slides on and off easily, but it's not loose; and because you do have to pull a bit to get the lid off, if it tips over, everything in the box STAYS in the box, because the lid doesn't fall off. Which means my lipsticks don't get dumped all over the counter (always a plus).
I love the structure of the box ITSELF. I want more of the box--but NOT with this dreadful pattern. This box would be gorgeous in solid, saturated primary colors, and I would buy more kits that came in a box of this structure if the box came in primary colors--or even just black or white!
But I'm going to have to figure out how to paint over that pattern with red lacquer or something. That pattern was a terrible thing to do to a really great acrylic box, and I don't think it does the brush handle or the lid of the foundation many favors, either.
Big thumbs up for the supersized foundation, the brush and the structural elements of the box, though.

Believe it when it says "shimmer"

Love the make up remover size--super easy travel size for my travel bag! 5 stars
Really Love the Pizzazz lip color--it's still quite sheer, but more saturated than other lip slicks I've gotten. 6 stars!!
Like that metallic black eyeliner a lot--it won't be something I wear often, but I can see a number of good applications for it, mostly around Halloween. 4.5 stars
But really believe the description on the eye primer when it says pink SHIMMER. I had a HUGE amount of fallout with the 'shimmer' particulates all down my face--to the point that I had to use the make up remover and start my whole face over after they attached themselves to my Prime Time face primer. Really not helpful when I'm trying to get ready to go to a Christmas party in under 10 minutes. I'll use the Pink Sugar eye primer--but ONLY by itself with eyeliner/mascara, when I'm planning to be someplace with very low lights, when I need all the pick up I can manage. And I'll be putting tissue over the rest of my face while it dries when I do use it! Very disappointing, because the color was beautiful, until the shimmer started falling all over my face. 1 star
Average: 4.1 stars
That said, the pink shimmer primer is frustrating enough that I won't be buying this kit again. :(

7 PM should be a standard color!

The colored eye primers have been around awhile, so if you like and use these shades, the inclusion of both of them with a mascara is a well priced deal.
BUT: the 7 PM shade of waterproof eyeliner is the standout star of this collection.
It's actually quite close to the old Big and Bold liner "black coffee" shade, although not an exact match. 7 PM is a 'blacker' brown than the 9 PM waterproof eyeliner shade. 9 PM is kind of a chocolate brown, and seems much softer on my eyes than the 7 PM shade. I have dark hair and long, dark lashes--and the 7 pm just works better for me than the 9 pm.
This is also the ONLY collection on the BE site that has 7 PM; so if you like more black in your brown, this is the kit for you. :)

My sister is a face wash thief.
Her excuse? "I really liked the little packets, and you have that travel one--it was almost empty! Hey! I wanted to try it for a few more days! It's almost empty! You have one in your overnight bag!...Quit poking me, you've got....!"
There's just no end to when a younger sister will steal your cosmetics out of the medicine cabinet, is there?! And this one skifes moisturizer, too.
So this collection is an excellent deal on all the products, and while it's available at this price, it's become very clear that it's probably wise to stock up at my house. If your sister is a face wash and moisturizer skife, you might want to stock up, too. :)

I didn't order this to try it--I ordered it because I keep a bag packed for traveling on the weekends, and I thought that the sizes looked more amenable to fitting in my traveling TSA-sizes-required-see-thru-bathroom-sink bag. A lot of stuff is required to keep a woman my age not looking her age, in front of the bathroom sink, you know?
BUT....the smaller size of that Renew and Hydrate jar is PERFECT for my desk at work!
See, I've discovered since switching to the BE skincare line that the R&H cream is not only awesome on your eyelids, it's SUPER awesome on your lip line--those evil wrinkles around your top lip especially, where the lipcolor always tries to bleed if you don't use lip liner, and sometimes if you do? Yeah, those evil wrinkles. I don't have a teeny tiny ruler to prove it, but I think that the R&H is helping there.
Sadly, the super shallow pencil tray I have at my desk where I can keep it isn't deep enough for the normal size R&H jar, so I can reapply it during the day. But this one FITS!
I'm going to have to order another one of these to get another little jar--because I can't travel without my R&H, and the little jar is better suited to my travel bag, too.
If you have a "keep it packed" bathroom sink bag, you need this kit for sure. And if you have a shallow pencil tray at the office? You probably need two, like me, for the smaller R&H jar.

Just right for the wandering woman

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the size of this cleanser. I spend a lot of weekends traveling for family reasons, and this new size fits perfectly into the overnight bag I only change the clothes in, but never really unpack.
One of the things I like best about the regular size is the way top is is designed to sprinkle the cleanser into your palm; putting it into other containers to travel with made it kind of a pain to take along. This travel sized bottle keeps the very effective sprinkle design, but in a the more compact form. I use this most mornings; making it easier to travel with is a big, big thumbs up from this woman with a permanently packed bag. :)

Even if you could resist the great colors in this kit, the brushes are to die for--especially that Pink Retractable Kabuki. How can any woman say she hasn't lost little girl inside her and resist that pink brush?
You need all of this, but especially that Pink Retractable Kabuki brush.

Total grams of product would be fine, but if you have a 'grams per pot', that would be really helpful. I'm considering buying this, but would be repotting other shades into it when each one is empty, if the pots are the right size.
