I purchased these for the holidays and then never wore them as they got stuck in the drawer. Just 're found' them and have started wearing. I'm really pleased with these liners. Thought they might be a tad to fancy for a motorcycle ride I was going on but I wore both gold and sliver and looked fabulous! LOL I think they are fun. They are not to bright and sparkly (which is why I originally got them - thought they might be) but I find I can wear them daily without looking like I"m going to a party.

Love this set. This is the second or third (maybe fourth) I've purchased. I keep giving these colors away as gifts as the 'perfect brown neutral' This can be worn by anything I feel. I can wear cool and warm colors with a preference toward the cool but this set of browns can be very forgiving. All matte colors but you can add glimps of nude beach if you need a touch of that. Also, great to use just one single color of the three (or two). Handy colors to have on hand always.

I know these have been out a while and don't know if they are a great seller or not but I love my pups! I was afraid to try one so I got my first one in a kit (a pale pink color and I don't recall which one it was). Use it almost all up and then I got the 4 pot pallet from Sephora and LOVE it. I do like the neutral colors a bit better. They all go on really easy (I use the wet / dry shadow brush to apply) and often just use a single color and different color liner when I use them. They stay all day, look fabulous, and are so easy to use. I fully suggest you give these puppies a try and hope they stay in the line up.

I wanted to love this product but I'll say straight out it is just OK. Good concept - product is too 'hard' to make a good smoky eye on me. I think the product needs to be a bit softer to go on smoother and easier. The colors are beautiful and they do work - just not as well as I'd expected to. I have three colors and will use what I have but I don't think I'll re-purchase. BUT ... I do love, Love, LOVE the insider eye pencil. :-)

It took me longer this time because I just have not been to my boutique recently (bad Angel that I am!!) but last night I popped over to say hello to the girls and remembered I'd forgotten to get this color. It is a bright shiney color and I love it. As Jenny said, it is like a sparkley vanilla sugar. I admit Vanilla Sugar is not my go to but this color really does work. Wearing it today for the first time and I'm very happy. And to top it off - Always a great charity for the special eye colors. Another job well done BE team. Keep up the good work.

At least in this case. I love the gold lid, I love having my foundation on hand. I love the Deluxe size most because I often mix foundations and not always 50/50 so whenever I get a chance to get a deluxe size I get it in my two colors - Medium Beige and Fairly Light. I can mix and sill have individual colors. I use my special siver top foundation jar or my 'pop up' jar to keep my daily use in. :-) Remember, this does not spoil so you don't have to worry about having too much on hand. I'm use foundation daily so it is never a problem for me at all.

I know this says Onyx but I believe EVERY color has my name on it and I use them all and love them all. Yes, the blue is BLUE and the green is pretty GREEN and they are GREAT. I've never been one to line the inside of my lower lids until this came along and now I won't go a day without doing it. This is a fantabulous product and it will always be a must have. - one drawback. It does stay all day unless I don't let my eye cream or oil soak in. When that happens I get a bit of smudge but it is sexy smudge - not messy smudge. <3

and get some soft shimmery skin with it is even BETTER. I use the regular Faux Tan about once a week, perhaps every other, but supplement it with this product. PERFECTION. I highly recommend this product or the non shimmer moisturizer. Fabulous product.

Loved the idea of this brush - if it would have worked like it was intended. It works, it is is cute, sometimes it works like it was intended, but not often enough. Too much, too little, wrong stroke. Nice brush for a collector, I still use it, but not my go to brush by any means.

I've looked at this bag since it first came out and just did not want to spend $35 for a bag I really *don't* NEED. But yes, I wanted it!!! A lot. Every time I went to a boutique I lusted after it. Finally with the Holiday sale, I snagged the bag. GREAT deal with the travel bag AND the small make up bag AND a set of travel brushes - all for $50. This was the sale I was waiting for. This bag rocks. Love the color, the texture, the size, the handles, the way it is set up. I just love this bag. Thank you BE for the bag and more important, for the great sale that let me get the bag I wanted. <3 I'm happy.

does it come with instructions?
I don't really know how to put make up on and just by reading the description I'm not sure I could put them on correctly. I'm trying to find something for daily use, not very fancy and dramatic, more like a natural/casual look. Is this a good collection for this purpose?
Bare minerals can have a learning curve. For me, the easiest way was to open the container and sprinkle enough foundation on the lid (think cinnamon on french toast amount) then smush your brush around the lid (called swirling) and then brush around your face. There are instructions like this on the paper with the foundation. If you dont' think you have enough after brushing / buffing your face, repeat. You should brush / buff for about 30 seconds to a minute - your not just 'sweeping' your foundation on, your buffing / brushing it into your face. All very natural looking.

Can you tell me how this brush is to be used. What is the reason for the v?Do I buff with this brush like the other brushes?
How and where would the face shaping V be used? Can I use for both foundation, blush, veil?
The original V brush was made for one of the blushes. It was a for the 'perfect' placement of the color. Great idea but not perfect in normal use. You can actually use the brush for blush, radiances or mineral veil. Don't think it work well at all for foundation.

I'm new to makeup and I need help! Will the colors in the set be too drastic for me? Will the jars last? Help!
I'm 17 and I'm new to the world of makeup. I recently got the bareMinerals foundation set in fairly light and I love it. I'm looking to expand my makeup collection to eyeshadows/liners now. This kit looks to be a bargain, but I'm not sure...I prefer a toned down makeup style, so I was wondering if this kit will fit my needs. I'm already hesitant to buy it because of all the shimmer shades, but I can be persuaded. Not only that, but the jars seem so small. It's a lot of money to drop on makeup (even if it is on sale) for it not to last very long. So my main concerns are colors to match my preferences and the makeup lasting for awhile. If someone could help me out, that would be fantastic :)
PS. I would love it if someone could recommend some color combinations from this kit or some how-to's regarding application!

Bare Minerals do not go bad. I've been using the same pots for well on 10 years now. The only way to get rid of them is to use them, spill them, or give them away! It takes forever to use a single eyeshadow and I go thru about one and a half foundations per year - using makeup average 6 days a week. The eye colors and cheek colors are able to be layered and blended so even the most garish looking color in the pot is not always waht you get on your eyes. If you DO get it too dark, buff it down or add a light color to help wash it out. I've never gone out looking like a clown wearing my BE (and never had to wash my face to start again like I have had to do with other brands a time or two because of being too heavy handed). Bare Escentuals is a GREAT makeup to start with ... and stay with too! Great for your skin too. Enjoy your makeup and always buy something when it is on sale. :-)

Is the large brush for foundation?
How mini are the brushes? Will the largest brush work well to apply foundation?
In my experience you can use many different brushes to apply foundation. I'm not a fan of the mini ones overall for foundation application on a daily basis but yes, it can work for the emergency. I suggest a regular size for daily application. Handy buki, regular kabuki, heavenly face brush, or the standard face brush.

Is the blemish therapy for adult acne only, or is it safe and effective for teen acne, too?
I want to give this to my teen niece because it works so well for me.
I've found the blemish therapy can be used for anyone and in many ways too. It works for bug bites (at least on me) and with one of the main ingrediants being sulfer, it attacks the blemish before it even pops the surface. I think your teen is lucky to receive this from you.
