Not your drugstore sharpener

What began as an impulse buy quickly became my new favorite tool! I typically don't use pencil eye liners because that perfect new-pencil point only lasts through the first few uses. Then you try to sharpen it and you twist and twist....shaving more of the liner off than the casing. Or you shave the casing off on one side and not the other. SO aggravating. Not anymore. I can't explain WHY this sharpener works better than any other type I have tried. It just does. Maybe it's the way the pencil fits in it. Maybe the blade is at a certain angle that grabs the casing better. Whatever it is, I'm completely in love. I sharpened all my eye liners when I got it home. Barely any liner is caught by the blade, which does an excellent job of shaving down the casing. What you're left with is a well sharpened eye liner and a new reason to love all things BE.

Something about quality cosmetics makes spending $18 on a mascara totally worth it. If you spend $7 on a drugstore mascara, you're more than likely going to get what you pay for. In my own experiences, anyway. I find this to be particularly true with flawless def curl & lengthen mascara. It does NOT flake all over your face, thickens but doesn't clump, doesn't give you creepy Liza Minnelli eyes (although some people strive to get that look). It separates your lashes without being "pokey" and, my favorite quality, dries quickly. No more mascara dotting on your crease line. You do have to be careful because it isn't an instant dry, but it's definitely not as wet as some other mascaras. It will hold up in light rain or tears (because, let's face it, women cry :)) yet it comes off easily with remover or BE purifying facial cleanser. I didn't expect a HUGE curling effect because I have never found a mascara that worked in place of a curler, but it does provide a soft bend to your lashes. I was initially drawn to this one as the wand was similar in shape to Buxom's. Buxom, unfortunately, is only available at Sephora. I like to do one-stop shopping so I was pleased that BE released their own version I could buy with my other fave cosmetics. I have no complaints, whatsoever, with this mascara and intend to use it as long as BE makes it!

This is undoubtedly the best product on the market for combatting tired, dark looking eyes. Whether those be the result of a late night or, like me, genetics.
Since as long as I can remember, concealing my dark circles has been a challenge. I competitively danced for 18 years and getting my makeup to look as good as the other girls was always just short of performing a miracle. I've used liquid, creams, powders and even the kind shaped like a lipstick. Bare Minerals was the first step, for me, in the right direction against these nasty pore-filling foundations. I used the well-rested powder for several years but found that I had to use 3 or 4 applications to get the coverage I was looking for. Then, earlier this summer, I tried the Well-Rested eye and face brightener. Brighten it did but, unfortunately, did absolutely NOTHING for the dark circles. If you catch the light right, it appears reflective but, from a direct look, the purple eye beasts looked almost worse. I read a review shortly after from a customer who recommended this product, instead, as she had had similar results. Lucky me, I received a sample from my early-fall shopping spree. I was INSTANTLY hooked! I went as far as to pull the cotton off of a cotton swab so I could scrape the inside of the sample bottle. Once I used up the last of the well-rested, I was at the Bare Minerals boutique. We're talking SAME-DAY. I cannot say enough good things about this stuff. It conceals perfectly, it brightens, it's everything I could hope for. I only need one "dip" of the applicator sponge and it covers both eyes. I have light skin with yellow undertones so I use the Fairly Light Original foundation and "Luminous 2" is the perfect color for me. In the bottle and on the back of your hand it will look too dark but its blending qualities are flawless and it doesn't look dark at all. At ALL! That would defeat the purpose.
Seriously, stop reading and start buying. You'll never go back and won't know how you lived without it.

I definitely think this product has great potential. I, too, have dark purple under-eye coloring that requires Michaelangelo skills to cover up. Unfortunately, this is a genetic condition that no amount of sleep seems to remedy. Since I was 15, I've dabbled in every kind of under-eye concealer out there. Once I figured out how well the original well rested worked, I perfected its application and chalked the rest up to something I would just have to deal with.
When this new product came out, I FLIPPED. I was also expecting the same great results I get with the Well-Rested powder. I still get great results but that is by using this product IN CONJUCTION WITH the original power. Here's what I've found:
1.The color of the liquid form is not thick enough to cover up the discoloration. Simply put, the color is too sheer to do much concealing.
2. The light reflecting properties in the pen work better to brighten the eyes than the original well-rested powder. You can see this once applied and blended by moving your head up and down in the bathroom mirror (yes, it looks silly :)). The powder does more of the concealing duties.
3. The convenience of twist and apply is just awesome.

What I have found to work best for me is to use the pen and powder together. I apply my BE foundation first and let that do some of the concealing. Then I apply a thin layer of the brightening pen in the inner corners and darkest points of my eyes, using my middle finger to "pat and blend" outward towards the outer corners (where the dark circles aren't as dark). I let that dry for a few minutes, then go back to those darkest points with the Well Rested Powder, and fast and flawless blending brush, and apply in the same pattern as the liquid stuff. In 5 minutes, I'm done. The WR powder just finishes off where the liquid left off, which is in concealing the dark purple coloring. I use a fraction of the powder that I used to AND I save a lot of time.
I'm not sure if that is how the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener pen was intended to work or if the pen is mostly designed for the dark circles of lack of sleep (as opposed to the genetic kind). Either way, I will be purchasing in the future!

STUNNING color, STUNNING eyes!

So I eyeballed this color for well over a year, perhaps even longer. I couldn't tell you what was holding me back but I finally bit the bullet yesterday and bought it. Wearing it today and I, admittedly, keep looking in the mirror because I am LOVING the way my eyes pop today! My eyes are more of a blue/green as opposed to strictly blue or strictly green. Most of the plum shades make them appear more blue but Angel does the opposite! They look strikingly green and I cannot get enough of how awesome my eyes look today. It's definitely more of a magenta or vibrant pink than purple BUT it's still gorgeous. Very Katy Perry :). SO glad I finally bought it!
(makeup tip: I applied hyacinth to my brow bone and inner corners prior to using Angel on my lids, THEN dusted hyacinth over the Angel. it added that extra sparkle that I love from the glimmer shadows --since Angel is matte)

I apply with the Hydrate and Brighten brush that you are supposed to use with this mineral veil but I honestly do not see a difference between this and regular mineral veil. OTHER than this one seems to have some "sparkle" to it. It doesn't feel cooling OR hydrating to me. I still use it every day because, well, why not...it still works as a great finishing product and there's no point in wasting what I've spent so much on. I would just as rather not have spent the extra money on the special brush and bought the regular mineral veil.
Not only that, but, the container is messy. It has the twist-closure for travel but I've found the veil comes through the gaps and still gets all over. Be very careful when tilting product into the lid; I have to use light taps otherwise a whole bunch will dump out at once.

Admittedly, this is not my favorite color of the 30 or so that I own (self-titled eyeshadow junkie over here). I much prefer bolder colors that stand out; smokier purples, bolder browns, deeper blues. Exotic tara is MUCH lighter than it appears in the lid. However, with the right shadow-liner combinations, it is a great eye shadow for a light, spring/summer look. Today I paired Exotic tara with Snowflake all over shadow and Bondi Beach eye liner....really liking it. Probably not as an every day look but it compliments teal/turquois clothing really well and will work with anyone with blue, green or hazel eyes.

BE did it again!

The conversion is complete; everything that goes on my face is now BE! From the Activesoil skin care products to foundation and eyeshadow...NOW my eyelashes have joined the party and we are not looking back!
I bought this mascara because the wand resembled the Buxom one I have been using the last few years (which you can't buy on the BE website or in BE boutiques). I had tried other BE mascaras but never really loved them because I didn't like the wands. I prefer my eyelashes separated and fanned out, yet still full and thick. Not an easy feat. This wand does exactly that. It doesn't apply so much that the lashes clump together in a black mess NOR do the separation fibers make it so you apply too little. I didn't even pay attention to the "curl" factor when I made the purchase but have been unexpectedly pleased with that as well.
This mascara also washes off easily and completely with the BE Purifying Facial Cleanser. The Buxom mascara requires a separate application of eye makeup remover to completely remove. So it's more economical to buy this one ;).
I LOVE this mascara and would recommend it to anyone (plus, I'm excited I won't have to shop at two different cosmetic stores for all my makeup)!!

So I've only been using this product for roughly a week and, therefore, do not have an "in the long run" opinion....yet!
I wanted to give BE skin care another shot as I had used the Deep Cleansing foam nearly a year ago and truly LOVED how healthy my skin looked. Unfortunately, the results only lasted a month and the foam no longer kept my blackheads at bay :(. THEN I got pregnant and my skin went completely berserk! I had to switch back to a benzoyl peroxide based regimine which cleared my skin but, ultimately, left my complexion over-srubbed and drab. It wasn't totally destroyed, though, as I was still using my BE Purely Nourishing Moisturizer. So there was still a hint of healthy skin underneath what was being abused on top. What I love most about BE skin care products is the "glow" your face has from using it and you just don't get that from any other product.
Comparing this cleanser to the Deep Cleansing Foam, I definitely prefer this one. I simply do not feel as though the foam cleanses as well as this product does. This cleanser removes all my face makeup (Bare Minerals, of course) with NO trace left behind. It even passed my "toner test." The first time I used it, I followed up with a cotton ball and toner of a different brand to see if there were any traces of makeup behind. The cotton ball came back CLEAN! Even the benzoyl peroxide cleanser left makeup behind, despite removing a layer of skin. So I KNOW the Purifying cleanser is getting it all off. This product is super gentle and I do use it all over...including my eyes to remove the majority of my eye makeup. However, it doesn't remove it all and I have to follow up with a cotton ball and a SMALL amount of makeup remover. I even pumped extra JUST for my eyes and still couldn't get rid of the racoon look. That is the ONLY reason I give this product 4 stars instead of 5.
Even the packaging is great. I love that you can lock the pump "closed" for times of travel.
Overall, I am pleased with how this product has expedited my night time routine. I'm really diligent about sticking to my regimine but it's nice to know it won't take me long to get ready for bed. Just two pumps and a minute or two of massaging is all it takes to get my skin completely clean and gorgeous-looking.
This cleanser also pairs perfectly with the exfoliating treatment and Purely Nourishing Moisturizer; I HIGHLY recommend using them together! Once again, my face looks super healthy and is glowing, even after just one week of use.

I intially switched my skin care regimine to BE back at the end April as my face had suddenly become overly sensitive to the salicylic based products I had been using. Itching, burning, peeling, dullness..the whole nine yards. As I already use (and LOVE) BE makeup products, I thought I would be just as satisfied with using their skin care products.
First, the pro's: this cleanser is totally gentle and does not irritate my sensitive skin whatsoever. All I need is about a pea-sized blob of this product and it cleanses my entire face...which is great because I have had the set since the end of April and could easily go another month without replenishing. I really love the smell of this product line as well. It has a light, pleasant fragrance that is not overpowering. If I could get a body wash and hair care products in this smell, I'd be set! And using this product really does make your skin look healthier. My face is more supple, soft and naturally luminous now than it has ever been.
HOWEVER....
My breakouts are no longer under control and my t-zone is oilier than ever. The first few weeks were fine and I didn't notice any change other than how soft and luminous my complexion began to look. Then I began sprouting blemishes on my forehead and chin and constantly dealt with blackheads. Now the breakouts have run rampant. I get one pimple cleared up and another rears it's ugly head right next to it. Mostly on my chin and forehead, but a few on my cheeks and nose as well (where most of the oil builds up). They are deep and painful, and take FOREVER to clear up. My t-zone looks like a constellation and it's heartbreaking.
I stick very closely to my skin care regimine and VERY rarely go to bed without washing my face. I even began washing my face twice a day and it hasn't helped at all.
As disappointed as I am, I have no other option other than to go back to what worked in the past. It's such a shame that this cleanser did not keep my acne under control as I do love how gentle and enjoyable it is to use this product. While I loved how supple and luminous my complexion has become, I do NOT enjoy the dozen or more blemishes that have accompanied. To me, it's not worth it.

Weather Everything Liner Sealer
Turn any bareMinerals Eyecolor into liquid liner.
Does it prevent flaking?
I use BE liner shadows already, wet, but noticed that my cheeks will get speckled with liner that has flaked off. Which then I try to wipe off and all that does is smear lines all over my face. Does this sealer prevent that?

YES, it is better. Much better, actually. If you're referring to the liquid version of well-rested, the Stroke of Light has the brightening effect as well as a concealing benefit. I found that well rested's concealing capabilities were next to non-existent. The stroke of light picks up where well rested left off. It brightens your look but it has color in it. I haven't used it anywhere except under my eyes so I can't say if I would use it as a highlighter. But the coverage is definitely superior.

If my BE foundation color is "Fair", will Light work for me?
I have very fair porcelain skin. I use Fair and Bisque daily.
I use the same BE Original Foundation color as you do and purchased the "light" shade in this.
It DOES appear on the face much darker than our regular foundation does but I don't see that as a bad difference. I find that it makes me look a little tan, without being unnaturally so.
I would definitely say the "medium" would be way too dark.

Prime Time Foundation Primer
Our amazing, preservative-free foundation primer.
Moisturizer?
Do most of you wear a moisturizer under Prime Time original? Or does Prime Time also moisturize your skin?
I have combination skin: oily t-zone and dry cheeks. I wash my face at night with a SkinID regimen that has a water-based moisturizer and, by morning, my natural oils come through enough that my dry spots do not feel "tight." So I dive right into applying the Prime Time and find that it is just enough to make my face feel moisturized. That being said, I have used a moisturizer in the past and found that my face will feel gooey or sticky. Plus, it dirtied my brushes faster! I would say, unless you have super dry skin, the primer will be just enough.
