Is it better to use matte eye colors if you are older?
I am wondering if shimmering eye shadows make wrinkles more visible. I have always used matte colors and would like to try a shimmering color, but, don't want aging to be more visible.
There are three kinds of BE eye shadow textures; matt, sheen and glimmer. I’ve found certain sheen colors make my eye creases more visible. Glimmer if not foiled seems to open up my eye a bit more, as if I place a lighter color shadow in the center of my lower lid. Matt colors are always good. I usually wear a darker matt color on my lower lid or crease, a glimmer on the lower lid from the inside corner of the eye to the center and a light sheen color above the crease (less wrinkles there). Glimmer shadows also make it easy to do a one shadow color eye. For this I use a medium shade glimmer starting at the base and blend it lighter as I reach the brow, sometimes adding a line of shadow (with and eyeliner brush) at the base of the lashes. I hope this helps!
