Delighted & Dazzled by this kit!
Rating

I had been reluctant to get this set because I was worried the Dazzle half would be too warm for my skin tone. Then it went on sale at a price I couldn't pass up, so I grabbed the set and am glad I did. After trying it, I do feel that the Delight side is more cool-toned while the Dazzle side is more warm-toned, but both are still neutral enough that they look nice on my cooler skin tone.
The Delight Side:
Fancy Eyecolor - A shimmery, champagne peach that can stand on its own. Like it a lot and can see combining this with some colored eyeliners like teals or greens for a fun, tropical look in summer.
Promise Blush - A pretty, neutral peach blush. Also like this a lot!
Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner in Forever Brandy - A medium purple with plum undertones. Would look great on medium skin tones.
Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Rock Star - I have this from another kit and love it. Soft peachy color with pink undertones. Does have a bit of frost/shimmer to it.
Love this side of the kit and so glad I picked it up. Also think it will be fun for summer looks with a tan and if you want to bump it up a notch, add some colored eyeliner or a deeper crease color for some drama.
The Delight Side:
Tantalize Eyecolor - A smoky brown with gray undertones and some shimmer. Normally, this is the sort of color I wear as a crease color and it would look nice that way with Fancy from the other half of the kit.
Ignite Blush - A medium, pink-rose color. More pigmented than the other blush, yet still neutral.
Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner in Absolute Black - Nice eyeliner. The black adds some extra drama and helps define your eyes against the grays of the eyeshadow, but if black eyeliner isn't your thing or you need a softer look, charcoal looks great with this too.
Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Wow Factor - A great, neutral rose. This looks very natural on me as it's very similar to my lip color. I have trouble finding rose lipglosses that look okay on me and this one is fab! Surprised it's not part of the regular lineup.
Really loved the Delight side of the kit and Fancy eyecolor surprised me with the power of its peachiness. I foresee getting the most use out of that side of the kit, combined with Tantalize from the Dazzle side as a crease color. The Moxie in Wow Factor from the Dazzle side will also be getting a lot of use as it's such a great, natural looking color that adds a hint of oomph to the lips. To me, Delight reads summer, Dazzle reads winter, and that's when I imagine I'll be using each most.

Love it! Should all be part of regular line

This is a nice set of neutrals. The kit also includes instructions on how to combine the colors for a pretty, wear anywhere kind of look. Overall, this is the sort of color combo that could take you from the office to a date or drinks afterward.
Celebrity eyeshadow is a grayish-taupe and in the pot I see very small specks of shine, but on the eye it didn't even have a sheen, so this is suitable for day and all ages.
Sensation eyeshadow is the crease color, it's a matte brown with gray undertones and can also be used as an eyeliner. Very neutral and as an eyeliner, is great for when you want a softer or almost no eyeliner look.
Snowflake is a shimmery, frosty white that I already have in my vast BE collection. I typically use it as an inner eye brightener with sparkly, evening looks, but in this kit it's supposed to be applied on top of the Celebrity eyecolor and adds a nice hint of sheen that way and brightens up the gray a bit. Never thought of using it that way and will try it with more eye colors like that. This step could be omitted for a more office-appropriate look.
Stellar is a nice, natural blush color and don't think I already have anything quite like it. It's a pink with the slightest touch of coral-peach undertones, but goes on a very nice and neutral rosy, sunflushed pink. Think this would be a nice addition to BE's regular line of blushes.
Prima Donna is a very neutral and fabulous lipgloss color. It almost seems like the exact same color as my lips when it goes on, maybe just bumped up a hue or two, save for the slight pearly sheen. Great wear anywhere sort of color and surprised it's not part of the regular line-up. It should be!
The mascara is nice, but the wand takes some getting used to. The box is cute. It's just paper covered though, was hoping it was something a little more waterproof or durable, but still nice to hold makeup or other small things in. Didn't try the brushes as BE's are typically made of animal hair and I only use cruelty-free, synthetic brushes.
I do miss some of BE's more colorful combos they used to do like the Face Fashion sets-- seems like most of the kits lately are neutrals and this is no exception. However, they are great neutrals to have and all would be great additions to the regular line. If you want a pop of color, these are neutral enough that you could still blend these with other color eyeshadows or eyeliners like greens, blues, or purples. I used an inky sapphire blue liner on my top lid and it added a little bit more pop and helped keep the gray tones of the eyeshadow from washing me out too much. Overall, a fab and versatile kit to have and suitable for women of all ages.

I couldn't resist these on sale as they reminded me of some pretty swirled lipglosses I used to wear. Both colors are nice, one is more peachy-pink, the other more purply-mauve. The size is great for stashing in a purse or bag for a quick pick-me-up.

One of the best collections of essentials

This kit is one of the best bangs for your buck you can get and perfect for an intro to BE eyeshadows. (Or a great steal on backups for existing BE addicts.) The shadows in this collection range from matte to sparkly and complement one another well. I would rate half of the shadows as cool in tone and the other half as warm. In other words, a little something for everyone. Some of the shades are more nude in tone and great as a base color or for highlighting on the brow bone (Vanilla Sugar, Bare Skin); the medium tones work well on the lid (Queen Phyllis, Nude Beach, Water Lily); and the deeper tones work well in the crease (Drama, S3x Kitten-- ha, ha, BE's filter bans their own color name!). Snowflake is also nice for highlighting the inner corner of your eyes.
To me, these are some of the must-have colors out of the vast BE eye collection and ones that I use regularly. The mattes can be worn anytime and even in a professional setting; the sparkly ones aren't over the top, more of a shimmer or sheen than disco glitter, so very wearable too. The hues in these shadows mix well with each other and are neutral enough to pair with other more vivid shadows and eyeliners when you want a bolder look. Just a fab collection overall!

BE did a stellar job with this set of lipglosses. The colors are fabulous and it's rare for every shade in a pack to be flattering, which I found them all to be. If you haven't tried the Moxies yet, they're great, feel light on the lips, not ultra sticky, and my fave right after the Buxoms that BE used to carry.
The set contains three cremes and three sparkly shades (I'd give them a glitter ranking of medium-- more than a subtle shimmer of glitter, but not densely packed large bits of glitter either).
I really didn't think some of the cremes would work on me and was pleasantly surprised to find they look great. The color is sheer, so don't let those pinks or lilac in the pic fool you. It's a kiss of color and pairing each creme with its corresponding glitter just enhances the color for even more beauty.
This is a great kit to gift, split up for stocking stuffers, or keep all for yourself. I'm considering getting a second set and really think BE should add these to the regular lineup. I have a ton of lipglosses and none of these were really dupes for anything I already own. Five stars all the way on this set!

Perfect summer look

Really love this set. The bronzer trio is awesome and very natural looking. Even with a tan, you can still contour your face or just use it like a blush. The lipgloss is a neat color too and not as reddish-orange coral as I was expecting. It's a pink-based coral with peach undertones and soft enough to wear with a variety of eyeshadows. Feels light on the lips just like all the other Moxies. I just tried this kit on for the first time and decided to pair it with one of the smoky eye looks from the 7 Ways to Bare Collection, 2nd volume, and it looks awesome. I agree with the other reviewers that the bronzer trio needs to be added to the regular collection and am glad it looks like the lipgloss already has been. It's easy to see where all the rave reviews are coming from because First Resort is awesome for creating a day to night, wear anywhere summer look.

Love this style of eyeliner and wish BE hadn't discontinued them. Granite is a unique shade, a taupe-y brown, that isn't harsh and great for a neutral look. Pairs well with other taupes, browns, greens, and olives in my BE eyeshadow collection.

Mai Tai is perfect for a beachy or tropical look

Agree with the other reviewer, that Mai Tai is more wearable than it looks. Not one I would have picked for myself, but it came in a kit and I knew it would look good with a tan. It doesn't go on a dark orange like it looks in the pot; it's a softer hue than that and easy to tone down if wanted. For a more subtle or natural look, it goes well with Summer blended into the crease. Then pair it with your favorite brown, charcoal, or even black eyeliner. For a more tropical look, try something like a teal eyeliner and then throw on some bronzer (Faux Tan is nice). I like wearing it any of those ways with Papaya blush (kind of a peachy coral) and some of my favorite summery shades of lipgloss.

Had to have Nude Beach Matte
Rating

Nice collection of basic neutral shadows great for blending or using as a base for something more dramatic. I grabbed this primarily for the Nude Beach Matte. Nude Beach is one of my favorite eyeshadows and very flattering, so I was excited to have a non-glitter version that could be worn anytime. The colors are all neutrals, some matte, some with a sheen. Most of them are pretty light and I had to build some of them up more than I'm used to with a lot of BE shadows-- depends on your skin tone and tan or no tan, of course. An insert offers suggestions on different ways to combine the shadows and since these are all neutrals, they're great for pairing with a bold lip color or for even doing a retro look.

One of the neatest lip gloss colors around! I received this in a kit during the holidays and all the women who bought it loved it and were begging BE to make this available separately-- so glad they listened! The holographic effect isn't as strong as it looks in the tube. Once on the lips, it's more of a prismatic effect and not gaudy or loud at all. It adds a really nice, glass-like sheen and is awesome for adding depth on top of other colors. Has the same nice consistency of the other Moxies and isn't too gloppy or sticky. Super unique shade and even with my massive lipgloss collection, no other color comes close to being a dupe for this. Five stars all the way!

Questions

Fragrance in these?
Do these have any kind of added smell or fragrance to them? They look similar to the Loud & Clear lip balms, which I liked, but couldn't wear because of the overwhelming scent BE had added to it. Anyone notice that with these or are they relatively scent-free?

Wow Factor Lip gloss
Where is the Marvelous Moxie lip gloss in Wow Factor available separately from the set?
Unfortunately, it's not. :( Most of the colors in BE's kits aren't available in the regular lineup. It's how they keep you addicted, but is a pain when you need just one piece out of the kit. Keep checking in the future though. Sometimes if a kit color is popular enough it might make an appearance online, even if only for a limited time.

Are all BE eyeshadows so shimmery?
I've purchased 2 BE eyeshadows and they're both so shimmery. Are they all that way? I'd prefer some that are matte and less Las Vegas-esque for work. This set appears to be toned down. Are they? Thanks.
Not sure what set this is referencing since this page doesn't say, but wanted to let you know that although there are plenty of shimmery BE shades, they do have matte shades and ones that are more of a sheen instead of heavy glitter. Sometimes the set descriptions will give this info next to the shadow name and color description, but sometimes they leave it out. If it's a color in the regular lineup, you can search for it on the site and the description should tell whether it's matte, sheen, shimmer, or glitter. Keep looking: promise they're not all Vegas-esque!

Is the Oasis eye color being discontinued? What does "Last Chance" mean?
Yeah, unfortunately if you see something in the Last Chance section that means they're not going to carry it anymore. :( So that means bye-bye Oasis. Too bad-- it's a neat color.

Is there a fragrance to this?
I am very allergic to strong fragrances, which is why I am unable to wear the Buxom or plain BE lip balm.
Yes and it's strong! I wouldn't recommend this for you as I found the smell to linger and couldn't tolerate it. The Buxom and BE lip glosses have a smell when you first apply them, but it goes away. This one stays and is irritating. I found it overpowering and couldn't wear the product.

Can I use Rose Radiance with both Warmth and blush?
Alright, BE users. I'd love some advice. In case it is relevant, I have fair skin with neutral undertones. I use Fairly Light foundation.

I purchased Rose Radiance quite a while ago but rarely use it because I'm worried that I don't know what I'm doing. I read a really excellent explanation on how to use it on this page, so I think that part is solved. Now I am wondering if I can/should use Rose Radiance in coordination with both Warmth and blush. I typically use both Warmth and blush when I apply, although it seems like the Warmth never really shows up. Do any of you folks use all three? Does anyone have an good application tips?
I think all three would be a bit much. I use the Rose Radiance as a blush in the winter when I have lighter skin and it looks great on its own. It might be okay to use Warmth as a bronzer and Rose Radiance for a blush. Or maybe use Rose Radiance in place of a bronzer and then a blush on the cheeks, but I think that might get a little too rosy. I wouldn't use all three together though. Play around with Rose Radiance as a blush and see how that looks on you. It's really pretty on its own.

How does this compare to Urban Decay primer potion?
Is this all natural ingredients?
Not sure about the ingredients, but this works the same as the Urban Decay primer potion. Regardless of what primer I've used underneath, my BE and Buxom shadows have stayed on even in the 105 degree heat this summer. Was amazed. I do think the BE primer helps to enhance and intensify the BE shadow colors better than the other primers though. Also a big fan of the Primer Shadows and recommend those as well as this nude primer.
