One of the neatest lip gloss colors around! I received this in a kit during the holidays and all the women who bought it loved it and were begging BE to make this available separately-- so glad they listened! The holographic effect isn't as strong as it looks in the tube. Once on the lips, it's more of a prismatic effect and not gaudy or loud at all. It adds a really nice, glass-like sheen and is awesome for adding depth on top of other colors. Has the same nice consistency of the other Moxies and isn't too gloppy or sticky. Super unique shade and even with my massive lipgloss collection, no other color comes close to being a dupe for this. Five stars all the way!

Unique & sparkly brown smoky eye
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Most of the gray/black smoky eye combos aren't flattering on me, so I'm always glad to see BE offer alternative color smoky eye kits. This one is very pretty and the colors combine nicely, although I would describe the hues as more brown than golden though. For most, this will be an evening kind of look.
Brave eyeshadow: Unique and beautiful color, absolutely love it. The base is a light vanilla shade (similar to Vanilla Sugar) with lots of sparkle thrown in. What makes it unique is the iridescent blue glitter that sparkles and catches the light like crazy. Just beautiful. (Only downside is lots of fallout.) Unless you're a teen, still go clubbing, or some kind of performer, this will be an evening-only or special occasion kind of shadow. The base color doesn't show up much on my winter skin, it's almost just like a glitter topping. In summer, the base color shows up a bit more. So fairer skin tones may wear it more as a glitter topper while I'm guessing the base color will be more noticeable on medium to deeper skin tones. The glitter will show up on any skin tone and is fine enough it doesn't seem like it would excessively accentuate fine lines or wrinkles.
Solid Gold eyeshadow: Not sure I'd describe this shadow as gold at all. It's definitely brown with fine specks of glitter, medium in tone with hints of taupe, and not a bit of yellow. If foiled or rubbed across the skin, a burnished coppery-bronze sheen comes out that has the slightest hint of rose-apricot undertones. None of that stood out as much when I just applied it dry though. It wasn't too warm or red for my skin tone like some browns can be.
Chocolate Truffle liner shadow: A fabulous and flattering tree bark brown. Medium to deep in color with a charcoal undertone and no reddish undertones. Very flattering and a fabulous alternative to black. It does have small gold glitter flecks in it, but didn't notice them on much. Of course, the glitter from Brave was taking all the attention, so any additional glitter might not have shown up. Don't think this would be too harsh on lighter skin tones, but it may not show up much on really deep ones. A matte version of this would be an excellent and versatile day to night color. Would grab this one again in a heartbeat.
The kit comes with two looks: one for day and one for evening. While I appreciate BE's attempt to come up with a daytime look for these shadows, in reality, most grown women won't be able to wear these during the day because of all the sparkle and glitter. It also recommends applying Brave all the way up to the brow bone, but for the non-teen, non-clubbing crowd, you'll probably just want to stick with it on your lid and use something less sparkly to highlight the brow bone.
The colors are neutral enough they could be paired with anything from red lips for some drama to something more neutral like a rose or mauve.
The pots are all full-sized and the brushes are beautiful with gold handles. (Didn't give those a try since I only use animal-friendly synthetic brushes.) Everything comes packaged in a gold paper box and would make a fabulous gift. Highly recommend this one if you're up for some sparkle and looking for a fun alternative to create a unique smoky eye.

Flirty and feminine

Great kit for a flirty, very feminine look. The pink and purple combo are perfect for a date or to complement a pretty dress.
Panache eyecolor: A soft, matte salmon pink shade. Appropriate for all ages and occasions. A neutral shade that can be mixed and matched with other hues too.
Smolder liner shadow: A medium to deep purple with black undertones, yet doesn't give the black eye look that some purples can. No reddish undertones to it. Does have some sparkle in it, but it's not super noticeable on.
Flirt cheek tint: Very pigmented bright pink, so a little goes a long way. Does tie in nicely with the other kit colors. This works with my skin tones year round, but in winter I have to use a lighter hand with it.
Cherry Bomb lip gloss: A pretty berry pink. Love this color. Under light in the tube, it has subtle shimmer (not glitter), but I don't notice any when it's put on.
The colors are pigmented enough to show up on deeper skin tones. Some of the colors might be a little harsh on fair skin tones, or would need to be blended well or applied with a lighter hand. For those that don't want any sparkle, a matte liner shadow or pencil eyeliner could be substituted for the sparkly liner shadow and make this an anytime kind of look.

Fun Rainbow of Colors for Everyone!
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
I was a little unsure about the rainbow of colors in this, but more of these worked on me than I would have imagined. There's a little something for everyone in here and shadows that can be worn for a softer, daytime look, or a more dramatic, evening look.
For the eyeshadows, you get a pastel mint green, vivid grape, glittery black, dusty sand, sparkly brown, light pink, and a soft yellow with iridescent sparkles. Blushes & Radiances include a reddish-peach, warm rose, hot pink, neutral rose, and a neutral summer tan color. It's also nice this kit includes a tinted Mineral Veil in addition to the regular.
The pigmentation of the colors range from softer to more pigmented, so a variety of skin tones, warm or cool, can make use of this set year-round.
Sundress is a favorite from the collection. It's got a soft yellow base but actually goes on with an iridescent greenish-blue sheen and is quite unique. Pairs well with Hush-Hush blush for a striking summer look.
Smoky Topaz is a versatile medium brown with glitter and is great for shading or in the crease. It doesn't go on too warm or red on my cool-toned skin.
Voodoo and Rockstar are more daring and unique as well. Voodoo is a vivid grape, while Rockstar is black with plenty of silver glitter and great for an intense smoky look.
Healthy Radiance is another fave from this kit! Absolutely love it and wish it was part of the regular lineup. It's perfect for adding a hint of natural color to my cheeks in winter when I want a more natural makeup look. Could be used as a bronzer too as it has similar undertones and looks similar to a tan.
Rose Radiance is another shade I use often as a blush. It adds a perky dose of neutral reddish-rose to my cheeks.
Hush-Hush blush is a unique shade and great for achieving a tropical look.
The bag is cute as well and holds brushes on one side, with a large zippered area for holding makeup on the other.
Overall, a nice set with plenty of hard-to-find colors that are fun to mix and match year-round. Easily recommend it!

Feminine, flirty kit with matte eyeshadows!

A really pretty kit! Get more use out of it than I thought I would. Don't be afraid of the purple and green color combo in this set-- it's not as wild as it looks! Plus, the shadows are matte for those of you looking for a set without sparkles. The overall combo is rather soft and feminine.
Violetta eyeshadow: A soft, matte lavendar shade. Flattering and pastel in hue. No blue undertones, so no risk of the black eye look that some purples can give.
Greenhouse eyeshadow: A muddy green with a hint of brown undertones that doesn't look like the prettiest shade in the pot, but goes surprisingly well with the purple. A little less pastel than Violetta.
Floret blush: A rosy pink hue. Doesn't go on as bright as it looks in the pot and complements the look well. Not too harsh or super-pigmented, so lighter skin tones can still wear this while darker ones can build it up to suit. This does have a touch of shimmer, but I don't find it obvious on.
Mascara in Blue Black: Love this! The blue tone is faint and it definitely doesn't look like an obvious blue on the lashes-- it looks like regular black mascara on, but brightens your eyes. Wish this was available separately.
Lipcolor in Vivacious: This color is a rich, medium berry rose shade. Not a fan of the Pretty Amazing lipcolors in general as I find they come off on everything-- hair, clothes, teeth-- but this one does go well with the rest of the colors in the kit. It is a very pigmented shade and would definitely show up on deeper skin tones. I actually prefer to layer Buxom Dolly on top of this whenever I wear this kit. It's similar in tone to Vivacious and helps keep the lipcolor from transferring everywhere.
Instructions are provided on how to put together the look, although this kit doesn't come with eyeliner. Charcoal and browns look good with it. I imagine black would too if you're a black eyeliner kind of gal. My personal favorite to wear with this is a creamy, deep blackened brown eyeliner.

Pretty peaches for any time of year

Ordinarily, I wouldn't have been drawn towards a peach kit, but decided to give this a try based on all the rave reviews. Glad I did, even though it's almost a dupe for another eye kit I use. The colors are flattering and lovely and the radiance/blush can't be beat!
Instructions are included on how to layer the eyeshadows and pull together the look. Overall, this kit runs toward the warm side and would complement a tan, although it works on my cool skin tone with no tan too. The colors seem like they'd work well with a range of skin tones and aren't too harsh for fairer skin types either. They're easy to build up for more coverage as well on deeper skin tones.
Temptation eyeshadow: A soft and light peach with nude undertones. Very close to my natural skin color and flattering. This does have gold sparkles in it. Not densely packed glitter or nighttime-only sparkles, but they aren't micro teeny-tiny either. If it weren't for the sparkles, this could be an office or interview appropriate color as it's very neutral. This is full-sized too.
Shh... eyecolor: A deeper apricot peach than Temptation. Matte with no sparkles, so a very versatile neutral and layers nicely with the other colors. This has more orange than pink undertones, although still very flattering and neutral.
Yes Please eyecolor: A warm, medium brown with cocoa and slight reddish undertones. Almost too warm for my winter skin tone, yet still wearable. Has small gold flecks in it, yet still appropriate for daytime. The kit doesn't come with an eyeliner, so it recommends using this as an eyeliner too.
Sweet Peach radiance: A beautiful, flattering medium peach that goes on softly and gives a very natural flush to your cheeks. My favorite of the kit and one of my favorite BE blush colors out of all the ones I own or have tried. Would definitely repurchase this in a heartbeat if it were available separately.
Stylista lipgloss: A soft apricot peach with pinkish undertones. Does have some soft shimmer. Really like all the Moxies I've tried and this one too. Feels light on the lips and the color perfectly coordinates with the rest of the kit. Also wish this one was part of the regular lineup and would purchase again.
Since it doesn't come with an eyeliner, some may be wondering what colors to pair with this. The colors are neutral enough that they'd pair well with plenty of neutral or deeper eyeliner colors too. Metallic or matte finishes in browns, coppers, golds, greens, blues, even teals and turquoises, would go nicely with these eyeshadows.
Some liner shadows that blend well with the peaches in the kit: Coffee Bean works well for a darker brown and adds some contrast, Firefly is nice for a copper and adds a bronzing effect, Aquamarine (no longer available-- boo BE!) jazzes things up with a metallic teal.

Overwhelming smell

I received a sample of this and found the product to be disappointing-- primarily because of the overwhelming smell. Yuck! The scent is strong and doesn't go away. It lingers and actually gave me a headache. Wasn't a fan of the consistency either as I found it a bit greasy and thick for something I'd want to use on my face. I've been struggling to find a lightweight facial moisturizer with natural ingredients that doesn't have a weird smell or fragrance to it. Guess my search will continue as this is one of the few BE products I can't recommend.

Creamy Coverage
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
First thing to note, is that these are big! They are sized larger than your average lip balm tube, but they're still easy to apply.
The finish is creamy and smooth. Not overly glossy and definitely no sparkles, so these can be worn anytime, anywhere, by all ages.
Application is easy and the colors go on somewhat light. You can build it up for more color and coverage.
The colors in this set are more neutral giving you an earthy nude, a mauve nude, and a plum that although it looks dark in the tube, goes on much lighter.
My favorite way to wear these is layered under lipgloss. These are great to keep in your purse or makeup bag because they'll go with a little of everything.

Decadent, indeed!
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
I didn't realize these were so glittery or I might not have gotten them. Not opposed to sparkles, just don't have as many opportunities to wear them anymore. That being said, this set definitely has some great colors in it. The nine eyeshadows are all full-size. The lip glosses are minis, about half a normal tube size. Most of the colors don't go on as dark and pigmented as they look, so if you have lighter skin, don't be turned off by the looks of the darker colors. Overall a nice set to mix, match, and play with. Also comes with three little sachet bags, so easy to divvy up for gifts too.
The eyecolors:
Splendid: A beautiful, coppery bronze. Shimmery and pigmented. Not too red and not too yellow. Just like a penny copper. So hard to find the perfect copper for my skin tone and I think this is it! Would also make a great liner color.
Rose Gold: True to the description, a mauve-ish rose hue. A cross somewhere between a rose pink and a deep peach with maybe the faintest hint of coral thrown in. More flattering on than I expected it to be. Has some sparkle to it.
Glitz: A sparkly, deep plum shade. Went on more dusty purple than it looks. Works better as a crease color on me. If you want to be a little daring, it makes a nice contrast as an eyeliner against Splendid, the shimmery bronze color, on the lid.
Aglow: What's not to love about this one? A soft, vanilla with a faint hint of pink shade that enhances my natural skin tone. Could be used as a highlighter too. Sparkly, of course.
Atomic Plume: A sparkly, yet rather neutral dusty brown color. Makes a nice crease color.
Cypress: This one was a little disappointing in that it didn't go on as pigmented as it looked in the pot. Foil it if you want darker coverage. Looks like a deep teal in the container, but actually goes on more of a dusty grey-green with sparkles. The sparkles are a pretty greenish-teal that match the eyeshadow exactly-- in the pot anyway. I'll play around with this one some more since it's too pretty not to. Bet it's gorgeous foiled as a liner shadow.
Gilt: A neutral, earthy toned shade that's color is best likened to dried and caked sand-colored dirt. As unflattering as that sounds, it is a really nice shade and one of the tamer ones in the set. If it didn't have sparkles, this would easily be the kind of color you could wear to the office.
Wink: A neutral, medium brown. No red or orange tones, more black and grey undertones. Like Gilt, if it didn't have sparkles, a very wearable color for anytime. Looks great in the crease with Gilt on the lid.
Brave: Ah, the best for last. First up, let me say unless you're 14, in your 20s and still go clubbing, or are a stage performer, this will be a special occasion only kind of shadow. That also being said, this is absolutely gorgeous and I'm still glad to add it to my vast BE collection. It the pot it looks kind of similar to Vanilla Sugar (a nude, flesh-tone), but with tons of sparkles. On the lid, it goes on mostly clear and you just see sparkles. The sparkles are just wow! They're not like typical sparkles and the way they catch the light makes your eyelids sparkle like lights on a Christmas tree! It's almost as if the glitter is holographic or something. Very unique and gorgeous in the way it catches light-- like sequins on your lids. The glitter is very fine though and gets everywhere, so care is needed. Lots and lots of fallout. The good news is though, that since the sparkles are so fine and tiny, they don't look like they'll enhance any wrinkles or creases like a lot of glittery shadows can. So that means even if you're not in your teens or twenties, and you love sparkles, go for it! And if you are some kind of performer or dancer, you definitely need this shadow.
Now for lips:
Starfruit: A somewhat frosty, light pink. Very pretty.
Mauve: A neutral, very wearable shade. Can be worn anytime, anywhere, on any age.
Raspberry Truffle: A sheer hint of medium pink. Goes on lighter and not as bright as it looks in the tube.
Vixen Moxie: Goes on pretty close to the tube color, just a tad lighter. A rose-berry kind of shade.
Temptress: A somewhat frosty, iridescent medium mauve-plum with a faint hint of brown underneath. Would look great layered over a deeper shade like Vixen.
Tantalizer: A frosty, iridescent goldish-peach. Would also look good layered over other shades with deep red, berry, or brown tones. More earthy in tone than the other lip glosses.
All of this comes in a cute gold box. Remove the inserts and you can hold this set and more. It's long enough to accomodate brushes too and pretty enough to leave sitting out on a dresser or tabletop.

Bold and feminine burst of color
Rating
5 out of 5
5 out of 5
Phrases Chosen: exotic, tropical, beautiful
A fun and feminine tropical kit, this is a little bold and perfect for a vacation or anytime you want to look like an exotic beauty like the kit suggests. Also comes with instructions on how to create a look with the colors provided. Would love to get my hands on the other kits in the Wanderlust collection if they were still around. Here's how the colors look on:
Prime Time Primer Shadow in Coral Reef: A light coral, not super orange. Softer and flattering with more peach than orange or reddish tones in it. Slight sparkle, more like a shimmer-- nothing over-the-top or that screams evening or special occasion only. Love the primer shadows. They apply easily with a fingertip and are great for getting ready in a hurry.
Wild Orchid Eyecolor: This is a deep purple and goes on pretty dark. More blue and black undertones than red. Very pigmented. Would need a light hand for fairer skin tones. Should show up enough on darker skin tones. Makes a striking contrast next to the coral shadow.
Eyeliner in 6pm: Another deep, eggplant purple shade. Definitely on the darker side and a gorgeous color. Might be too dark for fairer skin tones. Looks great with the eyeshadows. Not a fan of the round-the-clock eyeliners, but I do love the color of this one and wish they made the old Big and Bright liners in this shade.
Faux-Tan Matte: Tried this before and wasn't a fan. Tried in with this kit and love it! It's a must-have in my summer make-up routine now. I use it like a bronzer. Even with a tan in summer, it still helps to contour my face. It's not too orange or red on me-- more like a soft, golden brown. It is pigmented though, so a little goes a long way.
Tropical Radiance Face Color: Makes a lovely, soft pink blush to complement the other bold colors in this kit. Doesn't go on too dark or harsh, so it would suit lighter skin tones. Darker skin tones might have to build it up a bit. Adds a pretty, soft glow.
Lipgloss in Papaya Smoothie and Pink Guava: A little something for everyone in this. The fuchsia is rather bold. I find that a lot of the bold fuchsias don't work on me, but this one did. I like it. If that's too much for you, you can layer the Pink Guava on top to tone it down (it's a glistening, but not sparkly pinky/peach). Or wear it like the kit suggests, with just a hint of Pink Guava in the middle for a highlight to enhance your pout.
Bag: Always like the BE bags. This one is cute and can hold plenty more than just this kit. The outside surface is glossy and can be easily cleaned.
Overall, this isn't the sort of kit you'd wear for an everyday look, but it's definitely a nice one to have in your BE collection. The purple eyeshadow and eyeliner might be a little too harsh for really fair skin tones. Or just use it in summer when you have a tan-- it's a striking combo then and great to reach for when you want a burst of fun, feminine color.

Is there a fragrance to this?
I am very allergic to strong fragrances, which is why I am unable to wear the Buxom or plain BE lip balm.

Yes and it's strong! I wouldn't recommend this for you as I found the smell to linger and couldn't tolerate it. The Buxom and BE lip glosses have a smell when you first apply them, but it goes away. This one stays and is irritating. I found it overpowering and couldn't wear the product.

Can I use Rose Radiance with both Warmth and blush?
Alright, BE users. I'd love some advice. In case it is relevant, I have fair skin with neutral undertones. I use Fairly Light foundation.

I purchased Rose Radiance quite a while ago but rarely use it because I'm worried that I don't know what I'm doing. I read a really excellent explanation on how to use it on this page, so I think that part is solved. Now I am wondering if I can/should use Rose Radiance in coordination with both Warmth and blush. I typically use both Warmth and blush when I apply, although it seems like the Warmth never really shows up. Do any of you folks use all three? Does anyone have an good application tips?
Top 10 Contributor
I think all three would be a bit much. I use the Rose Radiance as a blush in the winter when I have lighter skin and it looks great on its own. It might be okay to use Warmth as a bronzer and Rose Radiance for a blush. Or maybe use Rose Radiance in place of a bronzer and then a blush on the cheeks, but I think that might get a little too rosy. I wouldn't use all three together though. Play around with Rose Radiance as a blush and see how that looks on you. It's really pretty on its own.

How does this compare to Urban Decay primer potion?
Is this all natural ingredients?
Top 10 Contributor
Not sure about the ingredients, but this works the same as the Urban Decay primer potion. Regardless of what primer I've used underneath, my BE and Buxom shadows have stayed on even in the 105 degree heat this summer. Was amazed. I do think the BE primer helps to enhance and intensify the BE shadow colors better than the other primers though. Also a big fan of the Primer Shadows and recommend those as well as this nude primer.

Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish - Bunny
Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish - Bunny
You'll know it's working when a tingly, cooling sensation rushes over you.

I'm looking for a great lip plumper and I was looking at the buxom lip plumper and was wondering if the results are permanent?
Are the results from the lip gloss permanent or do I have to keep reapplying through out the day?

It's not surgery, so the results aren't permanent; however I do find this gloss really does plump my lips. It seems to leave my lips plumped for hours afterwards. Of course like any product, it's going to have to be reapplied throughout the day anyway as you eat, drink, etc. Buxom glosses and BE glosses are all that I use now and if you haven't tried a Buxom yet, do it. You'll fall in love and want one in every color!

My daughter gave my a small lip color called Michelle. I would like to buy more of this color.
Do you have lipcolors for a limited time or do you have ones you keep so we can reorder?
What is your return policy on colors we don't like?

There's a mini-kit available at Sephora online right now (July 2012) with an April & Michelle duo.

ORIGINAL SPF 15 Foundation - Medium Beige
The one and only foundation that started it all.

Can you send me a full list of the active and inactive ingredients for you product?
I recently had allergy testing done for a persistent facial rash and need to know all of the ingredients. Thank you.

If you emailed customer service, they could probably provide you with this.
