Phrases Chosen: pretty good finishing powder
I bought the READY Touch UP Veil when it was first released as a new product. I have the both the translucent and the tinted versions. The translucent was too light for my skin, the tinted was better- but slightly dark for my paler, winter complexion. I purchased the new version in "Light" because I thought it would be the perfect match (darker than translucent, lighter than tinted), but it looks almost identical to the translucent! I am not returning it, but I would advise anyone interested in this to go a shade darker than you think you need, and next time I will do the same. The product itself is the best finishing powder I have EVER used (and there have been MANY). It blurs out my imperfections and keeps my foundation matte-looking longer than others I've tried. On hot, humid days, the oiliness still comes thru in my T-zone area, but it is not as bad as it has been using other setting powders. This is definitely the BEST powder I have ever used, and I would definitely recommend it. The fact that it has sunscreen in it is an added bonus for me.

Phrases Chosen: truly an inspiration
Melanie is truly beautiful, and I enjoyed watching her video. I liked that she changed career paths because she felt she was doing what others wanted for her instead of what she wanted for herself, but then she corrected that. I guess the only thing I was hoping to get out of this video that I didn't was her makeup tips. (I was hoping that the video was also going to advise what makeup was used on her "look.") Even though she is beautiful even without the makeup... unlike myself who needs all the help I can get with powder & paint. (LOL)

Questions

What color cream eyeshadow did you use in the video?
Silly, there ARE no details to the question! The question is of itself! Just want to know what color cream eyeshadow was used since the girl did not mention it in the video.

Where does the original "tinted" veil fall in the shades category? Light to dark.
old tinted vs. new shades
I would say that the old "Tinted" version is closer to the Medium shade. I purchased the Light shade and used to use the Tinted, and the LIght is lighter than the Tinted. I don't really like it. Light is close to Translucent.

is there any shade lighter than light?
it is advertised as 6 shades and there is only 5
If you need a shade lighter than Light, I would advise to purchase the Translucent. It is lighter than light.
